why are there flavours in condom - #24869

I am really curious and confused about something I've been thinking a lot lately. It's kind of a personal topic, but hear me out. A friend of mine brought some flavored condoms to a party last weekend, and it made me wonder, why are there flavours in condom in the first place? Like, I totally get it if people want to spice things up, but aren't there some health concerns too? I mean, I can’t help but think about the ingredients in the flavored ones. Do they cause any allergic reactions or other issues? My partner and I tried one out of curiosity, and it was kind of fun, but then I started second-guessing if it was safe, you know? I also read somewhere that some flavors can mask smells, which sounds – um, kinda nice, but what if the flavors interfere with protection? I'm just trying to understand the balance between fun and safety here. Why are there flavours in condom anyway? Are they necessary, or just a gimmick? Would really love to hear thoughts from you all!
