how to massage penis with oil - #38544

Skylar

I am kinda confused and a bit embarrassed to ask this, but I really wanna know how to massage penis with oil. I’ve been reading on some forums and heard that it can help with sensitivity and even improve blood circulation, or something like that. Last week, I tried it for the first time after I saw a video online, but honestly, it was a bit awkward. I guess I was too nervous or maybe just overthinking it? I used coconut oil because everyone says it’s good for the skin, but I'm not sure if that’s really the best choice? Like, do you guys have any tips on how to massage penis with oil more effectively? I ended up just sorta… rubbing it around, but I feel like I might be missing something key. Also, how long should I be doing it for? I mean, is there a “right” way at all or is it more about what feels good? I want to make sure I'm doing it in a way that's actually beneficial, not just weird or uncomfortable. Any advice would seriously be appreciated—thanks, everyone!

Doctors' responses

Understanding the nuances of self-care and personal health is important, and massage can indeed be beneficial. In Ayurveda, Nitya Abhyanga (daily oil massage) is often recommended to enhance circulation, support relaxation, and balance the doshas. When it comes to massage of the penis, the goal is to promote relaxation, support healthy blood flow, and nourish the tissue. Here are some considerations based on Ayurvedic principles.

Firstly, the selection of oil is crucial. Though coconut oil is commonly used for its moisturizing properties, Ayurveda often recommends sesame oil because it is known to be warming and penetrative, supporting vata dosha and circulation. However, if your prakriti (constitution) is predominantly pitta, coconut oil might still be suitable due to its cooling nature.

When you begin, ensure the oil is warm, not hot, as warmth aids in deeper tissue penetration. Start in a relaxed setting; the aim is not only physical benefit but also a meditative, calming experience. Pour a small amount of oil into your hand and rub your palms together to spread and warm it slightly more.

Gently apply the oil to the entire area. Use slow, circular motions starting from the base and moving upwards to encourage blood flow towards the tip. Varying the pressure, depending on sensitivity, can enhance comfort. There’s no fixed duration, but a few minutes, typically 5 to 10, can be sufficient. Pay attention to your body’s signals about discomfort or overstimulation.

It’s important to note, though, that if there’s ever pain, discomfort, or if you’re doing this for any specific medical condition, consider consulting a healthcare provider. Each individual’s needs and responses can vary, and it’s crucial to listen to what feels beneficial.

Lastly, consistency and gentle approach are key — over time, you might notice changes in sensitivity or relaxation. Always prioritize your comfort and well-being.
