Doctors' responses

For high blood pressure, first consider integrating some immediate lifestyle modifications. Regular daily exercise like brisk walking for about 30 minutes, can be effective in lowering blood pressure. Managing stress through practices such as yoga or deep-breathing exercises is crucial, as stress can exacerbate hypertension. Avoid eating too much salt; foods high in processed salts can worsen your condition, and aim to include more fruits and vegetables in your meals.

When it comes to erectile dysfunction, rule out any physiological cause first. However, Ayurveda views ED in context of an imbalance, primarily of the Vata dosha. Begin by including certain herbs and remedies in your routine. Ashwagandha, known for its rejuvenating properties, may benefit both your blood pressure and ED. Mix a teaspoon of ashwagandha powder in warm milk and take it at night. Another helpful herb is Shatavari, it’s known to support reproductive health.

Also consider diet; include almonds, sesame seeds, and pumpkin seeds—they support libido and vitality. Substitute refined sugar with natural sweeteners like honey in moderation, as sugar can impact energy levels.

For both blood pressure and ED, elimination of caffeine and alcohol, or at least reducing their intake is recommendable. Speaking with an Ayurvedic practitioner for a tailored regimen that fits your prakriti could further optimize your approach.

Medical evaluation for high blood pressure is important. Blood pressure readings such as yours might require conventional medication, immediate intervention prevents further complications. Contact a healthcare professional promptly for blood pressure management. Prioritize your health through this dual approach; professional guidance for immediate needs, complemented with Ayurvedic principles that align your daily life.
