Applying fitkari, or alum, topically may provide some relief due to its antiseptic and astringent properties, yet it’s essential to be cautious. Your description of a persistent large bump warrants careful consideration. Before proceeding with any treatment, especially with topical substances, it might be valuable to understand the nature of this bump, which could range from benign cysts to infections.
Given your symptoms, seeking medical evaluation from a qualified healthcare provider could be a priority. Large, persistent bumps that do not recede can sometimes need professional assessment to rule out any underlying condition, ensuring nothing concerning is missed.
Regarding Ayurveda, an understanding of your body’s dosha constitution, perhaps Kapha, focusing locally might offer insight into imbalances that contribute to this condition. Kapha imbalances may cause excessive tissue growths or fluids. While you wait for medical advice, you may consider keeping the area clean, avoiding any irritants. Gentle warm compresses might alleviate discomfort somewhat temporarily but do not replace further evaluation.
Dietarily, focus on Kapha-pacifying foods: light, drying, and warming foods. Incorporate spices like ginger and turmeric, known for their anti-inflammatory, antibacterial properties. Avoid dairy, almonds or oily foods which can aggravate Kapha. Hydrate adequately, emphasizing digestive fire or Agni strength — crucial for your entire body’s balance.
Crucially, avoid poking, squeezing, or otherwise irritating the bump to prevent further, potential complications. Consulting a healthcare professional, especially is this bump behaviorally distinct, large, or symptomatic, will ensure you receive appropriate guidance and treatment.
