Doctors' responses

HELLO !!!

Your husband’s symptoms severe acidity, nonstop spitting, white patch on the tongue, 7-kg weight loss, weakness, and tiredness, show that his stomach lining and digestion have been irritated for a long time.

Because he is a fitness trainer with an irregular schedule, skipping meals, long gaps, protein supplements, dehydration, and high physical activity all put extra pressure on the gut.

This creates: 🔥 High acid production 🤢 Excess saliva (spitting) due to acid irritation ⚪ White tongue coating (indigestion + fungal overgrowth) ⚖️ Weight loss & muscle fatigue because nutrients are not absorbed properly

Nothing is curing it because the root problem mandagni + excess pitta + gut irritation is still there.

Ayurveda first calms the irritation, then strengthens digestion, and then rebuilds strength.

🌿 Internal Medicines (start with Amapachana)

1️⃣ Amapachana (first 7 days) Amapachana Vati – 2 tablets twice daily after food for 7 days

2️⃣ After 7 days – Internal Medicines (1–2 months) Avipattikar Churna – ½ teaspoon after lunch and dinner with warm water Kamadhudha Ras (plain) – 1 tablet twice daily after food Guduchi Ghan Vati – 1 tablet twice daily Yashtimadhu Tablet – 1 tablet twice daily (These are safe and suitable even for people with heavy activity like trainers.)

🧴 External / Home Procedures Warm water sipping throughout the day 1 teaspoon ghee at night Avoid brushing tongue harshly—use a gentle scraper only once daily

🥗 Practical Diet Changes Early light breakfast (banana + soaked almonds OR moong dal chilla) Avoid long gaps between meals No raw onions, tomatoes, vinegar, pickles Avoid whey protein for 3–4 weeks Replace with banana + peanut butter, paneer, or moong dal protein Drink jeera + coriander + fennel warm water Soft, warm meals—khichdi, dal rice, oats, vegetable soups

🔍 Important Investigations Now Because of weight loss + white tongue + acidity: CBC H. pylori test LFT Thyroid profile Vitamin B12 & D ESR / CRP This will rule out serious causes and guide treatment correctly.

❌ Do & Don’t Avoid: Skipping meals Lemon, apple cider vinegar Coffee on empty stomach Protein powders temporarily Spicy food, chilies Late-night eating

Do: Warm water Regular meals Gentle tongue hygiene 7 hours sleep Small meals every 3 hours

💛 His condition can improve the weight loss, acidity, fatigue, and white coating are reversible once the stomach lining heals and his eating schedule becomes more stable.

With correct medicines and simple dietary discipline, he can regain strength, stamina, and a clean gut within a few weeks.

I’m here to guide both of you step-by-step.

Warm regards, Dr. Karthika

Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh
I am Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh, born and raised in Punjab where culture and traditions almost naturally guided me toward Ayurveda. From very early days I felt more drawn to natural ways of healing, and this curiosity finally led me to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh—an institution known for shaping strong Ayurvedic physicians. During those years I learned not only the classical texts and treatment methods, but also how to look at health through a very practical, human lense. For the past five years I worked in clinical practice, where patients come with wide range of concerns—from chronic digestion troubles to autoimmune illness—and I try to integrate both Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge to give them the most complete care I can. Sometimes western diagnostics help me to understand the stage of disease, while Ayurveda helps me design treatment that address root cause. This bridging approach is not always easy, but I believe it’s necessary for today’s health challanges. Currently I am also pursuing higher studies in Panchakarma therapy. Panchakarma is an area I feel very strongly about—it is not just detox, it is a whole system of cleansing, rejuvenation, rebalancing, and I want to deepen my expertise here. In practice, I combine Panchakarma with lifestyle guidance, diet planning, herbal remedies, yoga and mindfulness practices depending on what a patient actually needs at that moment. No two cases are same, and Ayurveda reminds me daily that healing must be personal. My approach is always focused on root-cause management rather than temporary relief. Diet, herbs, therapeutic oils, meditation routines, and simple daily habits—they all work together when chosen rightly. Sometimes results come slow, sometimes faster, but I try to keep care sustainable and compassionate. Helping someone regain energy, sleep better, or reduce pain, that is the real achievement in my journey. And I continue learning, because Ayurveda is deep, it doesn’t finish with one degree or one training, it grow with every patient and every experiance. My specialties lie in treating a range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions using Ayurveda’s time-tested principles, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution (Prakriti). I have significant expertise in managing digestive disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diabetes, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. I also specialize in addressing stress-related and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and burnout, which are increasingly common in today’s fast-paced world. By integrating therapies like Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead) to calm the nervous system, Abhyanga (herbal oil massages) to balance Vata dosha, and adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, I help patients achieve mental clarity and emotional resilience. In the field of musculoskeletal and joint health, I excel in treating conditions like arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Using therapies such as Kati Basti (localized oil retention on the lower back) and potent anti-inflammatory herbs like Guggulu and Shallaki, I focus on reducing inflammation, improving joint mobility, and strengthening tissues. My treatments have helped many patients, particularly those seeking non-invasive alternatives, regain mobility and reduce pain through a blend of internal medications and external therapies. Skin disorders are another key area of my practice, where I address conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, and pigmentation issues holistically. By focusing on blood purification and balancing Pitta dosha and detoxifying Panchakarma techniques like Raktamokshana (bloodletting). My approach targets dietary and lifestyle triggers, offering sustainable results for clients who previously relied on temporary solutions like topical steroids. My dual expertise in Ayurveda and modern medicine allows me to create integrative treatment plans that are both effective and safe. I am deeply committed to patient education, empowering individuals to embrace Ayurvedic principles for sustainable health. Through this online platform, I am excited to offer virtual consultations, making the profound benefits of Ayurveda accessible to all. Whether you seek relief from a specific condition or aim to enhance overall vitality, I look forward to guiding you on your journey to balance and well-being with compassion and expertise.

I am currently pursuing my MD in Panchakarma, and by now I carry 3 yrs of steady clinical experience. Panchakarma for me is not just detox or some fancy retreat thing — it’s the core of how Ayurveda actually works to reset the system. During my journey I’ve handled patients with arthritis flares, chronic back pain, migraine, digestive troubles, hormonal imbalance, even skin and stress-related disorders... and in almost every case Panchakarma gave space for deeper healing than medicines alone. Working hands-on with procedures like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana gave me a lot of practical insight. It's not just about performing the therapy, but understanding timing, patient strength, diet before and after, and how their mind-body reacts to cleansing. Some respond quick, others struggle with initial discomfort, and that’s where real patient support matters. I learnt to watch closely, adjust small details, and guide them through the whole process safely. My approach is always patient-centric. I don’t believe in pushing the same package to everyone. I first assess prakriti, agni, mental state, lifestyle, then decide what works best. Sometimes full Panchakarma isn’t even needed — simple modifications, herbs, or limited therapy sessions can bring results. And when full shodhana is required, I plan it in detail with proper purvakarma & aftercare, cause that’s what makes outcomes sustainable. The last few years made me more confident not just in procedures but in the philosophy behind them. Panchakarma isn’t a quick fix — it demands patience, discipline, trust. But when done right, it gives relief that lasts, and that’s why I keep refining how I practice it.

Hello dear, I understand how worrying it is to see your husband losing weight, feeling constantly tired, suffering from acidity, nonstop spitting, and now a white patch on the tongue—despite taking so many medications. Please don’t worry. These symptoms are treatable, and Ayurveda offers a very clear approach to what he is experiencing.

His symptoms suggest a combination of:

Severe Amla Pitta aggravation (chronic acidity)

Urdhwagami Pitta (acid moving upward → spitting, burning, sour taste)

Kapha accumulation in the mouth (white patch)

Weak Agni after chronic acidity medicines

Vata imbalance due to erratic schedule & skipped meals

The 7 kg weight loss, weakness, and fatigue indicate nutrient malabsorption, likely because his stomach lining is irritated and not absorbing food properly.

🔎 Recommended Investigations (If not done in the last 1–3 months, these are important because of weight loss and prolonged acidity) 1. Complete Blood Count (CBC) – weakness evaluation 2. Vitamin B12 & Vitamin D3 – long-term acidity suppressants deplete these 3. H. pylori Test (stool antigen or blood IgG) – common cause of acidity, spitting 4. Liver Function Test – acidity + weight loss 5. Thyroid Profile (TSH) – evaluate unexplained weight loss 6. Endoscopy (only if symptoms do not improve in 4–6 weeks)

💊 Internal Medicines Phase 1 – 15 days (Acid control + Healing + Reduce spitting + Detox mouth) 1. Avipattikar Churna – ½ tsp at bedtime with warm water 2. Kamdhudha Ras (Plain) – 1 tablet twice daily after food 3. Giloy Satva – 1 tablet twice daily for inflammation & immunity 4. Eladi Vati – to suck slowly 3–4 times a day (helps spitting + white patch) 5. Yashtimadhu ghana vati– 1 tablet twice daily after food

Phase 2 – 45 days (Strengthening + Weight regain + Stomach repair) 1. Shatavari Kalpa – 1 tsp with warm milk morning & night 2. Drakshasava – 15 ml with equal water twice daily (improves appetite + energy) 3. Amla Capsules / Amlaki Rasayan – 1 capsule twice daily 4. Brahmi Vati (plain) – 1 tablet at bedtime for fatigue & mental stability

🌿 External & Supportive Therapies 1. Coconut oil pulling – 5 minutes every morning (helps white patch + acidity) 2. Warm water sipping all day 3. Avoid fasting or skipping meals (worst trigger for Pitta) 4. Do not drink water immediately before or after meals 5. Chew food slowly → reduces reflux & spitting

🥗 Diet & Lifestyle Recommendations ❌ Avoid 1. Tea/coffee on empty stomach 2. Spicy, sour foods (pickles, vinegar, tomato-heavy dishes) 3. Packaged protein powders 4. Late-night meals 5. Long gaps between meals 6. Excess gym supplements 7. Citrus fruits during active acidity 8. Smoking / occasional alcohol (if any)

✅ Include 1. Small, frequent meals (very important for him) 2. Jeera + Dhaniya + Saunf water throughout the day 3. 1 tsp ghee in lunch 4. Rice + moong dal khichdi 2–3 times weekly 5. Banana or soaked raisins for weight gain + acidity relief 6. Warm milk + pinch of turmeric at night 7. Cardamom (elaichi) after meals to reduce spitting & reflux

🧘🏻‍♂️ Yoga & Pranayama (Avoid heavy workouts during active acidity flare) Asanas 1.Vajrasana after meals 2.Pawanmuktasana 3.Balasana 4.Setu Bandhasana 5.Gentle stretching (avoid abs workouts temporarily)

Pranayama 1.Sheetali / Sheetkari – 5 minutes (Pitta cooling) 2.Anulom Vilom – 10 minutes 3.Bhramari – 5 minutes 4.Avoid Kapalbhati & Bhastrika during acidity phase.

🕉️ Follow-up & Duration * Spitting reduces in 5–7 days * Acidity settles in 10–14 days * White patch fades in 3–4 weeks * Strength & weight start improving in 4–6 weeks * Continue Pitta-pacifying routine for 2–3 months for full healing

✨ With proper Pitta balancing medicines, stomach lining repair, correct meal timings, and gentle strengthening, your husband will regain his energy, reduce acidity and spitting, and recover his healthy weight.

Warm regards Dr.Sumi MS(Ayu)

Considering your husband’s symptoms and the lack of relief from conventional medications, it’s important to look at this from an Ayurvedic perspective. The combination of severe acidity, tongue coating, weight loss, and fatigue suggests an imbalance, possibly related to elevated Pitta and Vata doshas.

Acidity in Ayurveda is often linked to excess Pitta, and the erratic schedule might exacerbate these imbalances, especially affecting the agni (digestive fire). Start by encouraging a routine meal schedule to regulate digestion. He should have meals at consistent times each day, ideally in a calm environment, avoiding distractions.

Dietary changes could play a crucial role. Encourage him to consume more cooling and easily digestible foods to pacify Pitta. Foods like boiled vegetables, green leafy veggies, and soaked almonds can be beneficial. He should avoid spicy, oily, and fried foods. Drinking plenty of water throughout the day, but not immediately before or after meals, might help in stabilizing the digestive fire.

The white patch on the tongue could be indicative of ama (toxins) or yeast overgrowth. Drinking warm water with a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar before meals might help reduce throat irritation due to acidity. Practicing oil pulling in the morning with sesame oil can assist in oral hygiene and potentially reduce the white patch over time.

Increasing consumption of herbs such as licorice and aloe vera juice can further soothe and heal the mucous linings. Regular consumption of triphala powder at bedtime, with warm water, will support detoxification and improve digestion.

Given his fatigue and weight loss, it’s crucial to ensure that his diet is nutrient-dense and balanced. Addition of ghee in moderate amounts can help nourish the tissues and support energy levels without aggravating Pitta. Mild to moderate exercise that avoids overheating, alongside good hydration, keeps Vata in balance.

Still, due to substantial weight loss and persistent symptoms, it is essential to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying serious conditions. Chronic conditions may require integrated approaches for best results.

HELLO,

Your husband has multiple symptoms that point to chronic disturbance of digestion and imbalance of pitta + Kapha dosha , along with Ama (toxins) formation.

SEVERE ACIDITY This suggests that his internal digestive fire is not stable when Agni becomes irregular -food doesn’t get digested properly -sour and acidic substances remain in the stomach -these rise upward-> causing heartburn, sour belching, spitting

Ayurveda calls this Urdhwaga Amlapitta

CONSTANT SPITTING This is usually due to -Excess kapha (thick mucus like saliva) -Irritation of stomach lining-> stimulating salivary glands -Ama toxins-> cause heaviness, frequent salivation This means his digestion is slow and burdened, not burning food completely.

WHITE PATCH ON TONGUE This shows -kapha accumulation -ama coating -possible fungal/ yeast imbalance due to long term acidity

Ayurveda views the tongue as the mirror of the stomach A coated togue= coated stomach

WEAKNESS, TIREDNESS, WEIGHT LOSS This means - body is not absorbing nutrients properly -digestion is happening partially -muscles not getting adequate nutrition -Erratic meal timings worsen vata imblance-> further weight loss

ERRATIC SCHEDULE AS A FITNESS TRAINER This usually causes -long gaps between meals -exercise on an empty stomach -protein supplements irritating the stomach -irregular sleep -> pitta imbalance - stress-> further digestion weakness

Dr. Sara Garg
I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

Dr. Manjula
I am an Ayurveda practitioner who’s honestly kind of obsessed with understanding what really caused someone’s illness—not just what hurts, but why it started in the first place. I work through Prakruti-Vikruti pareeksha, tongue analysis, lifestyle patterns, digestion history—little things most ppl skip over, but Ayurveda doesn’t. I look at the whole system and how it’s interacting with the world around it. Not just, like, “you have acidity, take this churna.” My main focus is on balancing doshas—Vata, Pitta, Kapha—not in a copy-paste way, but in a very personalized, live-and-evolving format. Because sometimes someone looks like a Pitta imbalance but actually it's their aggravated Vata stirring it up... it’s layered. I use herbal medicine, ahar-vihar (diet + daily routine), lifestyle modifications and also just plain conversations with the patient to bring the mind and body back to a rhythm. When that happens—healing starts showing up, gradually but strongly. I work with chronic conditions, gut imbalances, seasonal allergies, emotional stress patterns, even people who just “don’t feel right” anymore but don’t have a name for it. Prevention is also a huge part of what I do—Ayurveda isn’t just for after you fall sick. Helping someone stay aligned, even when nothing feels urgent, is maybe the most powerful part of this science. My entire practice is rooted in classical Ayurvedic texts—Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam—and I try to stay true to the system, but I also speak to people where they’re at. That means making the treatments doable in real life. No fancy lists of herbs no one can find. No shloka lectures unless someone wants them. Just real healing using real logic and intuition together. I care about precision in diagnosis. I don’t rush that part. I take time. Because one wrong assumption and you’re treating the shadow, not the source. And that’s what I try to avoid. My goal isn’t temporary relief—it’s to teach the body how to not need constant fixing. When someone walks away lighter, clearer, more in tune with their system—that’s the actual win.

Dr. Surya Bhagwati
I am a Senior Ayurveda Physician with more than 28 years in this field — and trust me, it still surprises me how much there is to learn every single day. Over these years, I’ve had the chance to treat over 1 lakh patients (probably more by now honestly), both through in-person consults and online. Some come in with a mild cough, others with conditions no one’s been able to figure out for years. Each case brings its own rhythm, and that’s where real Ayurveda begins. I still rely deeply on classical tools — *Nadi Pariksha*, *Roga-Rogi Pariksha*, proper *prakriti-vikriti* mapping — not just ticking symptoms into a list. I don’t believe in ready-made cures or generic charts. Diagnosis needs attention. I look at how the disease behaves *inside* that specific person, which doshas are triggering what, and where the imbalance actually started (hint: it’s usually not where the pain is). Over the years I’ve worked with pretty much all age groups and all kinds of health challenges — from digestive upsets & fevers to chronic, autoimmune, hormonal, metabolic and degenerative disorders. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. Even now I keep learning — through texts, talks, patient follow-ups, sometimes even mistakes that taught me what not to do. And I’m still committed, still fully into it. Because for me, this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifelong responsibility — to restore balance, protect *ojas*, and help each person live in tune with themselves. That’s the real goal.

Dr. Snehal Tasgaonkar
I am an Ayurvedic physician with around 7 yrs clinical experience, though honestly—feels like I’ve lived double that in patient hours. I studied from a govt. medical college (reputed one) where I got deep into classical Ayurvedic texts n clinical logic. I treat everything from chronic stuff like arthritis, IBS, eczema... to more sudden conditions that just pop up outta nowhere. I try to approach each case by digging into the *why*, not just the *what*. I mean—anyone can treat pain, but if you don’t catch the doshic imbalance or metabolic root, it just comes bak right? I use Nadi Pariksha a lot, but also other classical signs to map prakriti-vikruti, dhatu status n agni condition... you know the drill. I like making people *understand* their own health too. Doesn’t make sense to hand meds without giving them tools to prevent a relapse. My Panchakarma training’s been a core part of my work. I do Abhyanga, Swedana, Basti etc regularly—not just detox but also as restorative therapy. Actually seen cases where patients came in exhausted, foggy... and post-Shodhana, they're just lit up. That part never gets old. Also I always tie diet & lifestyle changes into treatment. It’s non-negotiable for me, bcs long-term balance needs daily changes, not just clinic visits. I like using classical formulations but I stay practical too—if someone's not ready for full-scale protocol, I try building smaller habits. I believe healing’s not just abt treating symptoms—it’s abt helping the body reset, then stay there. I’m constantly refining what I do, trying to blend timeless Ayurvedic theory with real-time practical needs of today’s patients. Doesn’t always go perfect lol, but most times we see real shifts. That’s what keeps me going.

Dr. Snehal Vidhate
I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

Dr. Narendrakumar V Mishra
I am a Consulting Ayurvedic Physician practicing since 1990—feels strange saying “over three decades” sometimes, but yeah, that’s the journey. I’ve spent these years working closely with chronic conditions that don’t always have clear answers in quick fixes. My main work has been around skin disorders, hair fall, scalp issues, and long-standing lifestyle stuff like diabetes, arthritis, and stress that kinda lingers under everything else. When someone walks into my clinic, I don’t jump to treat the problem on the surface. I start by understanding their *prakriti* and *vikriti*—what they’re made of, and what’s currently out of sync. That lets me build treatment plans that actually *fit* their system—not just push a medicine and hope it works. I use a mix of classical formulations, panchakarma if needed, dietary corrections, and slow, practical lifestyle changes. No overnight miracle talk. Just steady support. Hair fall and skin issues often feel cosmetic from outside—but internally? It’s about digestion, stress, liver, hormones... I’ve seen patients try 10+ things before landing in front of me. And sometimes they just need someone to *listen* before throwing herbs at the problem. That’s something I never skip. With arthritis and diabetes too, I take the same root-cause path. I give Ayurvedic medicines, but also work with *dinacharya*, *ahar* rules, and ways to reduce the load modern life puts on the body. We discuss sleep, food timing, mental state, all of it. I’ve also worked a lot with people dealing with high stress—career burnout, anxiety patterns, overthinking—and my approach there includes Ayurvedic counseling, herbal mind support, breathing routines... depends what suits them. My foundation is built on classical *samhitas*, clinical observation, and actual time with patients—not theories alone. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel well—not just for a few weeks, but in a way that actually lasts. Healing that feels like *them*, not just protocol. That’s what I keep aiming for.

Dr. Ravi Chandra Rushi
I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too. I talk to patients in OPD, sometimes give community talks, just to tell people they do have safer options than cutting everything out under GA! I still study Shalya Tantra like it’s a living document. I try to stay updated with whatever credible advancements are happening in Ayurvedic surgery, but I filter what’s fluff and what’s actually useful. At the end of the day, my aim is to offer respectful, outcome-based care that lets patients walk out without shame or fear. That’s really what keeps me grounded in this field.

Dr. Prasad Pentakota
I am Dr. P. Prasad, and I’ve been in this field for 20+ years now, working kinda across the board—General Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology—you name it. Didn’t start out thinking I’d end up spanning that wide, but over time, each area sort of pulled me in deeper. And honestly, I like that mix. It lets me look at a patient not just through one lens but a whole system-wide view... makes more sense when treating something that won’t fit neatly in one category. I’ve handled everything from day-to-day stuff like hypertension, diabetes, or skin infections to more serious neuro and cardiac problems. Some cases are quick—diagnose, treat, done. Others take time, repeated check-ins, figuring out what’s really going on beneath those usual symptoms. And that’s where the detail matters. I’m pretty big on thorough diagnosis and patient education—because half the problem is ppl just not knowing what’s happening inside their own body. What’s changed for me over years isn’t just knowledge, it’s how much I lean on listening. If you miss what someone didn’t say, you might also miss their actual illness. And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.

Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Nisha Bisht
I am an Ayurvedic physician with over 10 years of real, everyday experience—both in the clinical side and in managing systems behind the scenes. My journey started at Jiva Ayurveda in Faridabad, where I spent around 3 years juggling in-clinic and telemedicine consultations. That time taught me how different patient care can look when it’s just you, the person’s voice, and classical texts. No fancy setups—just your grasp on nidan and your ability to *listen properly*. Then I moved into a Medical Officer role at Uttaranchal Ayurved College in Dehradun, where I stayed for 7 years. It was more than just outpatient care—I was also involved in academic work, teaching students while continuing to treat patients. That phase really pushed me to re-read things with new eyes. You explain something to students one day and then end up applying it differently the next day on a patient. The loop between theory and practice became sharper there. Right now, I’m working as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Shivalik Hospital (part of the Shivalik Ayurved Institute in Dehradun). It’s a dual role—consulting patients *and* making sure the hospital ops run smooth. I get to ensure that the Ayurvedic care we deliver is both clinically sound and logistically strong. From patient case planning to supporting clinical staff and overseeing treatment quality—I keep an eye on all of it. Across all these years, my focus hasn’t changed much—I still work to blend classical Ayurved with today’s healthcare structure in a way that feels practical, safe and real. I don’t believe in overloading patients or selling “quick detox” ideas. I work on balancing doshas, rebuilding agni, planning proper chikitsa based on the person’s condition and constitution. Whether it’s lifestyle disorders, seasonal issues, chronic cases, or plain unexplained fatigue—I try to reach the cause before anything else. I still believe that Ayurved works best when it’s applied with clarity and humility—not overcomplicated or oversold. That’s the approach I carry into every patient room and every team meeting. It’s a long road, but it’s one I’m fully walking.

Dr. Akshay Negi
