HELLO !!!

Your mother’s lower back pain, weight gain, diabetes, hysterectomy history and tennis elbow are all connected. Because she has been diabetic for many years, her muscles, joints and nerves become weaker, and after hysterectomy, the hormonal support for bones and joints reduces, causing stiffness and inflammation.

At the same time, weight gain puts extra pressure on the lower back, knees and elbow. That’s why her back pain is severe and the elbow hasn’t healed. With the right routine, medicines and gentle exercises, she can feel much better, reduce pain and improve mobility. This plan is fully safe for diabetic patients.

⭐ Internal Medicines : (All for 30 days unless mentioned otherwise) 1. Ama Pachana (first 7 days) Amapachana Vati – 2 tablets twice daily after food for 7 days 2. For Lower Back Pain + Diabetes-friendly Strength Rasnadi Kashayam – 15 ml with equal warm water twice daily before food Yograj Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Dhanwantharam 101 Capsule – 1 capsule at night after dinner

3. For Tennis Elbow Pain Gandharvahastadi Kashayam Tablet – 1 tablet at night for 15 days Shallaki (Boswellia) tablet – 1 tablet twice daily

4. For Weight Balance + Diabetes Nishamalaki tablet – 1 tablet twice daily before meals Triphala Churna – ½ teaspoon at night with warm water

⭐ External Treatments (can be done at home) For Lower Back Pain Apply warm Mahanarayana Taila on the lower back daily evening After applying, place a hot water bag for 10–15 minutes For Tennis Elbow Apply Murivenna Oil twice daily Use an elbow support band during work

⭐ Exercises She MUST Do (10–12 min daily) (Only slow movements, no strain) For Lower Back Cat–Cow stretch (Marjariasana) – 1–2 minutes Child’s pose (Shishuasana) – 2 minutes Pelvic tilts – 10 repetitions Simple lying leg raises (only 30°) – 10 reps For Tennis Elbow Wrist flexor stretch – 30 sec × 2 Wrist extensor stretch – 30 sec × 2 Ice massage for 5 minutes at night

⭐ Investigations (important for her age) HbA1c (diabetes control) Vitamin D Vitamin B12 ESR / CRP (inflammation) Thyroid profile (if weight is increasing quickly)

⭐ Do’s & Don’ts Do’s ✔ Warm water only ✔ Early dinner ✔ Light walk 20 minutes daily ✔ Add 1 teaspoon ghee in lunch (good for back pain & joints) ✔ Use elbow support during household work

Don’ts ✘ No sitting on soft sofa or floor ✘ No lifting weight ✘ No cold foods, cold water or refrigerated food ✘ Avoid squatting (putting pressure on knees & back)

⭐ For Your Father (Knee Arthritis) Simple, safe & effective: Internal: Trayodashang Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily Shallaki tablet – 1 twice daily

External: Apply Mahanarayana Taila to knees Then use hot water bag for 10 minutes Exercises: Supported wall squats (light) Straight leg raise Quadriceps strengthening

⭐ ❤️ Your mother can definitely feel better her pain can reduce, movement can improve, and energy can come back with this routine. Nothing here is heavy, nothing unsafe for diabetes, and everything is designed so she can follow it easily at home.

Your father’s knee pain is also manageable with simple Ayurvedic support and daily strengthening.

I’m here to guide you both anytime.

🌼 Warm regards, Dr. Karthika

Hello‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Chaitra I appreciate the information about your parents that you have given me. Your mother is suffering from severe lower back pain, weight gain, diabetes, a past of hysterectomy, and tennis elbow, and your father has chronic knee arthritis

✅ PANCHAKARMA THERAPY

A. Kati Basti – 7 days It is a special treatment to relieve the lower back pain, disc compression, Vata pain.

B. Patra Pinda Sweda (leaf bundle massage) – 7–14 days Slowly this will bring loss of stiffness, and the blood flow will improve.

C. Basti treatment (7 days minimum) The main cause of chronic back pain + diabetes-related dryness can be resolved with this most effective treatment.

D. For tennis elbow: Tila taila local massage + hot fomentation

These treatments provide 60–80% relief within 2–3 weeks and should be carried out at a nearby panchakarma center

✅ INTERNAL MEDICATION

👉Back Pain & Vata: Dashamoolaristha 15 ml twice daily Yogaraj Guggul – 1 tab twice daily Mahanarayana Taila – local massage daily

👉Weight & Diabetes: Nishamalaki Churna – 1 tsp daily with warm water Triphala churna 1 tsp at bedtime Methi (fenugreek) seeds water daily

👉Tennis Elbow: Gandha taila capsules (for bone & tendon strength) 1-0-1 after food Maha Narayana taila external massage

✅ DIET MODIFICATION Very important in the case of weight and pain.

👉Include: Warm freshly cooked food Steamed vegetables Thin buttermilk with jeera Moong dal + rice Methi sabji Turmeric + black pepper in food Warm water (avoid cold)

❌Avoid: Bakery items Fried food Excess rice at night Curd Cold drinks Sugar & packaged snacks

✅ Lifestyle & Home Remedies

For Back Pain: Hot water bag over lower back 10 min daily Gentle stretching: cat-cow, knee-to-chest (avoid forward bending) Avoid sitting on the floor, soft beds, or long bike rides

I hope these suggestions are helpful to you and your parents. Do not hesitate to contact me again if you have further questions.

Warm Regards Dr Snehal ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌Vidhate

HELLO,

Your mother has -chronic lower back pain -weight gain -long standing diabetes -tennis elbow -history of hysterctomy which increases vata after menopause

All these are connected

1)LOWER BACK PAIN WHY DOES SHE HAVE BACK PAIN? -Afterhysterctomy, vata dosha naturally increases-> dryness, stiffness, pain -Diabetes for many ears weakens nerves and circulation-> more pain -Weight gain puts pressure on lower spine -Age related disc degenration

Ayurvedic view -This is vata +kapha disorder where dryness + stiffness + weak muscles leads to chronic pain

TREATMENT GOALS -reduce pain and stiffness -increase lubrication of joints -strengthens spinal muscles -reduce body weight -improve nerve function (since diabetes affects nerves) -balance vata (major cause)

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) YOGARAJ GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily after meals for 3 months =reduces vata, pain, stiffness, improves metabolism

2) RASNA SAPTAKAM KASHAYA= 15ml + equal water twice daily after meals for 2 months =very effective for chronic lower back pain and inflamamtion

3) DASHMOOLARISHTA= 20 ml + equal water twice daily before meals for 2 moths =strengthens nerves and reduces inflammation

4) KSHEERBALA 101 CAPSULES= 1 cap at night for 4 weeks =nourishes nerves and lubricates joints

2) WEIGHT GAIN + DIABETES (15 YEARS)

WHY WEIGHT INCREASES IN DIABETIC PATEINTS? -slow metabolism -insulin imbalance -hormonal changes after hysterectomy -low physical activity due to Pai

AYURVEDIC VIEW -kapha + meda increase -agni (digestive fire) becomes weak -vata imbalance increases cravings for sweet and salty foods

TREATMENT GOALS -improve metabolism -reduces excess fat -controls sugar levels -improve insulin sensitivty -reduce cravings

INTERNAL MEDICATIONS

1) NISHAKATHAKADI KASHAYA= 15ml twice daily before meals =regulates blood sugar

2) MEDOHARA GUGGULU= 1 tab twice daily after meals =fat burning, improves metabolism

3) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp at bedtime with warm water =cleanses digestive tract, reduces weight, regulates bowel movement

4) VIJAYSAR POWDER= 1/2 tsp before breakfast with warm water =good for insulin resistance

3) TENNIS ELBOW -Strain of the tendon where forearm muscles attach -due to repetitive movements or sudden strain -worse in diabetic patient due to slow healing

INTERNALLY -KAISHOR GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =reduces inflamamtion

-PUNARNAVA GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals = reduces swelling

EXTERNAL CARE -warm oil massage =mahanarayan taila -hot fomentation -avoid lifting heavy objects -use elbow strap if needed

B) YOUR FATHER’S KNEE ARTHRITIS -vata increases inside joints-> cartilage wear + pain -diabetics and elders have weak joint lubrication

YOGA FOR YOUR MOTHER -cat cow stretch= lubricates spine -bhujangasana= strengthens back -setu bandhasana= helps spine and weight -vajrasana= improves digestion -supine leg raises

AVOID -forward bending -heavy lifts

PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= balances vata -bhramari= pain relief -deep diaphragmatic breathing

FOR FATHER -knee strengthening exercises -leg raises -quadriceps strengthening -gentlestretching -avoid squatting/ sitting cross legged

DIET -warm foods -Millets=ragi, foxtail, little millet -Vegetables= bottle gourd, ridge gourd, snake gourd, bitter gourd -Methi seeds soaked -turmeric with black pepper -dal soups -steamed vegetables

With consistent treatment, pain can reduce by 60-80% weight can gradually come down, and daily life will become more comfortable

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

Hello Chaitra, Your mother’s history of long-standing diabetes (15 years), post-hysterectomy status, chronic lower back pain, weight gain, and tennis elbow suggests a combination of Vata imbalance, weakening of bones/muscles post-menopause, reduced metabolism due to diabetes, and repetitive strain injury in the elbow.

Chronic diabetes also slows tissue healing, increases stiffness, and causes early degeneration of joints and spine, which explains her persistent lower back pain.

Your father’s 15-year history of knee arthritis indicates advanced Vata aggravation, cartilage thinning, and chronic inflammation.

🔎 Recommended Investigations (If not done in the last 3–6 months) For Mother 1. HbA1c, Fasting & PP Sugar – diabetes control assessment 2. Vitamin D3 & Calcium – low levels worsen back & joint pain 3. Lipid Profile – weight gain + diabetes risk 4. Lumbosacral Spine X-ray – to rule out disc degeneration 5. Uric Acid – sometimes high in diabetes patients

For Father 1. X-ray – Both Knees (AP & Lateral) – arthritis grading 2. Vitamin D3 & Calcium levels 3. ESR & CRP – inflammation check

💊 Internal Medicines For Mother – Lower Back Pain + Weight Gain + Diabetes + Tennis Elbow

Phase 1 – 15 days (Pain relief + Vata balance + Metabolism activation)

Phase 2 – 45 days (Strengthening + Weight correction + Sugar regulation) 1. Triphala Guggulu – 1 tab morning & night after food 2. Shallaki plus – 1 tab twice daily 3. Guduchi Ghana / Giloy Vati – 1 tab twice daily after food 4. Mahanarayan Taila capsules– 1 cap at bedtime (strengthens spine & joints)

For Father – Knee Arthritis (15 years) Phase 1 – 15 days (Pain + inflammation control) 1. Mahayograj Guggulu – 1 tab twice daily after meals 2. Shallaki + Guggulu – 1 tab twice daily after food 3. Ashwagandha Churna – ½ tsp with warm milk at night (muscle strengthening)

🌿 External & Supportive Therapies For Mother 1. Warm oil massage with Mahanarayan / Dhanwantharam oil on back & elbow – daily 2. Hot fomentation for 10 minutes after oil massage 3. Tennis elbow strap during activities 4. Avoid lifting heavy objects 5. Posture correction – avoid long bending or sitting 6. 🧘🏻‍♂️ Yoga & Exercises For Mother – Lower Back + Diabetes + Elbow * Cat–Cow stretch * Bhujangasana (cobra) * Shashankasana (child pose) * Pelvic tilt exercise * Wall-supported squats (slow)

Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh
I am Dr. Gursimran Jeet Singh, born and raised in Punjab where culture and traditions almost naturally guided me toward Ayurveda. From very early days I felt more drawn to natural ways of healing, and this curiosity finally led me to pursue Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) at Shri Dhanwantry Ayurvedic College, Chandigarh—an institution known for shaping strong Ayurvedic physicians. During those years I learned not only the classical texts and treatment methods, but also how to look at health through a very practical, human lense. For the past five years I worked in clinical practice, where patients come with wide range of concerns—from chronic digestion troubles to autoimmune illness—and I try to integrate both Ayurveda and modern medical knowledge to give them the most complete care I can. Sometimes western diagnostics help me to understand the stage of disease, while Ayurveda helps me design treatment that address root cause. This bridging approach is not always easy, but I believe it’s necessary for today’s health challanges. Currently I am also pursuing higher studies in Panchakarma therapy. Panchakarma is an area I feel very strongly about—it is not just detox, it is a whole system of cleansing, rejuvenation, rebalancing, and I want to deepen my expertise here. In practice, I combine Panchakarma with lifestyle guidance, diet planning, herbal remedies, yoga and mindfulness practices depending on what a patient actually needs at that moment. No two cases are same, and Ayurveda reminds me daily that healing must be personal. My approach is always focused on root-cause management rather than temporary relief. Diet, herbs, therapeutic oils, meditation routines, and simple daily habits—they all work together when chosen rightly. Sometimes results come slow, sometimes faster, but I try to keep care sustainable and compassionate. Helping someone regain energy, sleep better, or reduce pain, that is the real achievement in my journey. And I continue learning, because Ayurveda is deep, it doesn’t finish with one degree or one training, it grow with every patient and every experiance. My specialties lie in treating a range of chronic and lifestyle-related conditions using Ayurveda’s time-tested principles, tailored to each individual’s unique constitution (Prakriti). I have significant expertise in managing digestive disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux, constipation, diabetes, obesity and inflammatory bowel diseases. I also specialize in addressing stress-related and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, insomnia, and burnout, which are increasingly common in today’s fast-paced world. By integrating therapies like Shirodhara (oil pouring on the forehead) to calm the nervous system, Abhyanga (herbal oil massages) to balance Vata dosha, and adaptogenic herbs like Ashwagandha and Brahmi, I help patients achieve mental clarity and emotional resilience. In the field of musculoskeletal and joint health, I excel in treating conditions like arthritis (rheumatoid and osteoarthritis), back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Using therapies such as Kati Basti (localized oil retention on the lower back) and potent anti-inflammatory herbs like Guggulu and Shallaki, I focus on reducing inflammation, improving joint mobility, and strengthening tissues. My treatments have helped many patients, particularly those seeking non-invasive alternatives, regain mobility and reduce pain through a blend of internal medications and external therapies. Skin disorders are another key area of my practice, where I address conditions like eczema, psoriasis, acne, and pigmentation issues holistically. By focusing on blood purification and balancing Pitta dosha and detoxifying Panchakarma techniques like Raktamokshana (bloodletting). My approach targets dietary and lifestyle triggers, offering sustainable results for clients who previously relied on temporary solutions like topical steroids. My dual expertise in Ayurveda and modern medicine allows me to create integrative treatment plans that are both effective and safe. I am deeply committed to patient education, empowering individuals to embrace Ayurvedic principles for sustainable health. Through this online platform, I am excited to offer virtual consultations, making the profound benefits of Ayurveda accessible to all. Whether you seek relief from a specific condition or aim to enhance overall vitality, I look forward to guiding you on your journey to balance and well-being with compassion and expertise.

Dr. Akshay Negi
I am currently pursuing my MD in Panchakarma, and by now I carry 3 yrs of steady clinical experience. Panchakarma for me is not just detox or some fancy retreat thing — it’s the core of how Ayurveda actually works to reset the system. During my journey I’ve handled patients with arthritis flares, chronic back pain, migraine, digestive troubles, hormonal imbalance, even skin and stress-related disorders... and in almost every case Panchakarma gave space for deeper healing than medicines alone. Working hands-on with procedures like Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana gave me a lot of practical insight. It's not just about performing the therapy, but understanding timing, patient strength, diet before and after, and how their mind-body reacts to cleansing. Some respond quick, others struggle with initial discomfort, and that’s where real patient support matters. I learnt to watch closely, adjust small details, and guide them through the whole process safely. My approach is always patient-centric. I don’t believe in pushing the same package to everyone. I first assess prakriti, agni, mental state, lifestyle, then decide what works best. Sometimes full Panchakarma isn’t even needed — simple modifications, herbs, or limited therapy sessions can bring results. And when full shodhana is required, I plan it in detail with proper purvakarma & aftercare, cause that’s what makes outcomes sustainable. The last few years made me more confident not just in procedures but in the philosophy behind them. Panchakarma isn’t a quick fix — it demands patience, discipline, trust. But when done right, it gives relief that lasts, and that’s why I keep refining how I practice it.

Addressing your mother’s lower back pain and weight gain requires a multifaceted approach. Given her history of diabetes, post-hysterectomy status, and musculoskeletal concerns like tennis elbow, balancing her doshas, particularly vata and kapha, is crucial.

For her lower back pain, gentle exercises such as yoga can help stabilize the spine and improve flexibility. Asanas like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) and Shalabhasana (Locust Pose) can be beneficial. She should practice these consistently but gently, listening to her body’s limits. Applying warm Mahanarayana Taila followed by a mild hot compress can soothe vata aggravation in the back region.

Weight management is important. Her diet should focus on controlling kapha. Encourage her to eat lighter, freshly cooked meals. Start the day with warm lemon water to stimulate agni. Incorporate more dals (like moong dal), cooked vegetables, and whole grains such as barley and oats. Avoid processed foods, excessive oils, and sugars which can imbalance kapha and pitta. Consider including spices like turmeric, cumin, and ginger which aid digestion and help in weight control.

For managing diabetes, Ayurveda emphasizes balancing meals with low-glycemic foods. Fenugreek seeds soaked overnight in water, drinking the water on an empty stomach, may help control blood sugar levels.

Regarding tennis elbow, recommend local application of a paste made from turmeric and neem leaves in equal parts. Applying this paste to aggravated areas can help reduce inflammation and pain.

Your father’s knee arthritis can be aided by ayurvedic therapies like Janu Basti (warm oil treatment) or Rasnasaptakam Kashayam, giving anti-inflammatory benefits, under professional guidance.

Encourage both parents to engage in regular, gentle physical activity—like walking for 30 minutes daily. Always ensure consultations with healthcare professionals to tailor these suggestions to personal medical needs and contraindications.

Dr. Soukhya Hiremath
I am Dr Soukhya, completed my BAMS degree under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, and sometimes I still can’t believe how fast that year of full-time practice went by… feels like I m still figuring small things while already handling so many female disorders and skin related conditions every day. I work mostly with Ayurveda treatments for gynic cases, hormonal ups-and-downs, chronic skin troubles and a few other things that always need more gentle hands than people expect. I am practicing for a year now, but honestly the learning kind of never stop, each patient shows something new… sometimes I even pause thinking “wait, did I explain that right” and then go again with more clarity. My focus stays on understanding the root-cause, balancing doshas properly, and giving care that feel practical not over complicated. I treated many gynic issues, from irregular cycles to pregnency related discomforts, and a lot of cosmetology concerns too (acne, pigmentation and stuff that people get worried about really quickly!). I am also running offline yoga classes for pregnant women and others too… it started simple but grew into this small supportive space where I see how much differnce breathing and mindful movement makes. Sometimes the schedule gets messy, or I m not sure if the batch timing was perfect, but the sessions still turn meaningful. Ayurveda, yoga, routine corrections — all these tie together in my approach. I try to keep things straighforward, even if my notes get a bit scattered here and there or a comma miss somewhere, but the intention stays steady: help people feel better with methods that respect body’s natural healing.

Dr. Ravi Chandra Rushi
I am working right now as a Consultant Ayurvedic Ano-Rectal Surgeon at Bhrigu Maharishi Ayurvedic Hospital in Nalgonda—and yeah, that name’s quite something, but what really keeps me here is the kind of cases we get. My main focus is managing ano-rectal disorders like piles (Arsha), fistula-in-ano (Bhagandara), fissure-in-ano (Parikartika), pilonidal sinus, and rectal polyps. These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. Over time, I’ve seen that when people follow the whole protocol, not just the procedure part, the recurrence drops a lot. I’m quite particular about follow-up and wound care too, ‘cause we’re dealing with delicate areas here and ignoring post-op can ruin outcomes. Oh and yeah—I care a lot about educating folks too. I talk to patients in OPD, sometimes give community talks, just to tell people they do have safer options than cutting everything out under GA! I still study Shalya Tantra like it’s a living document. I try to stay updated with whatever credible advancements are happening in Ayurvedic surgery, but I filter what’s fluff and what’s actually useful. At the end of the day, my aim is to offer respectful, outcome-based care that lets patients walk out without shame or fear. That’s really what keeps me grounded in this field.

Dr. Snehal Vidhate
I am Dr. Snehal Vidhate, born n brought up in Maharashtra—and honestly, for as long as I remember I’ve felt this pull towards Ayurveda. Not the fancy version ppl throw around, but the deep, real kind that actually helps ppl. I did my BAMS from YMT Ayurvedic Medical College in Kharghar. That’s where I got my basics strong—like really studied the shastras, understood prakriti, doshas, the whole deal. Not just crammed theory but started to see how it shows up in real lives. After finishing BAMS, I got into this one-year certificate course at Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth, Delhi—honestly a turning point. I was super lucky to learn Kerala Ayurveda from my Guru, Prof. Dr. G.G. Gangadharan. He’s got this way of seeing things... simple but deep. That time with him taught me more than any textbook ever could. It kinda reshaped how I look at health, healing n how precise Ayurveda can be when you respect its roots. Right now I’m doing my MD in Panchakarma from SDM Ayurveda College, Bangalore. This place is like a hub for serious Ayurveda work. The Panchakarma training here? Super intense. We go deep into detoxification & rasayana therapy—not just theory again, but hands-on. I’m learning to blend classical techniques with today’s clinical demands.. like how to make Vamana or Basti actually doable in modern patient setups. My current practice is really about merging tradition with logic. Whether it’s chronic skin issues, gut problems, stress burnout or hormone stuff—my goal is to get to the root, not just hush the symptoms. I use Panchakarma when needed, but also a lot of ahara-vihara tweaks, medhya herbs, sometimes just slowing ppl down a bit helps. I really believe Ayurveda’s power is in its simplicity when done right. I don’t try to fix ppl—I work *with* them. And honestly, every patient teaches me something back.

Dr. Anjali Sehrawat
I am Dr. Anjali Sehrawat. Graduated BAMS from National College of Ayurveda & Hospital, Barwala (Hisar) in 2023—and right now I'm doing my residency, learning a lot everyday under senior clinicians who’ve been in the field way longer than me. It’s kind of intense but also really grounding. Like, it makes you pause before assuming anything about a patient. During my UG and clinical rotations, I got good hands-on exposure... not just in diagnosing through Ayurvedic nidan but also understanding where and when Allopathic tools (like lab reports or acute interventions) help fill the gap. I really believe that if you *actually* want to heal someone, you gotta see the whole picture—Ayurveda gives you that depth, but you also need to know when modern input is useful, right? I’m more interested in chronic & lifestyle disorders—stuff like metabolic imbalances, stress-linked issues, digestive problems that linger and slowly pull energy down. I don’t rush into giving churnas or kashayams just bcz the texts say so... I try to see what fits the patient’s prakriti, daily habits, emotional pattern etc. It’s not textbook-perfect every time, but that’s where the real skill grows I guess. I do a lot of thinking abt cause vs symptom—sometimes it's not the problem you see that actually needs solving first. What I care about most is making sure the treatment is safe, ethical, practical, and honest. No overpromising, no pushing meds that don’t fit. And I’m always reading or discussing sth—old Samhitas or recent journals, depends what the case demands. My goal really is to build a practice where people feel seen & understood, not just “managed.” That's where healing actually begins, right?

Dr. Sara Garg
I am someone who believes Ayurveda isn’t just some old system — it’s alive, and actually still works when you use it the way it's meant to be used. My practice mostly revolves around proper Ayurvedic diagnosis (rogi & roga pariksha types), Panchakarma therapies, and ya also a lot of work with herbal medicine — not just prescribing but sometimes preparing stuff myself when needed. I really like that hands-on part actually, like knowing where the herbs came from and how they're processed... changes everything. One of the things I pay a lot of attention to is how a person's lifestyle is playing into their condition. Food, sleep, bowel habits, even small emotional patterns that people don't even realize are affecting their digestion or immunity — I look at all of it before jumping to treatment. Dietary therapy isn’t just telling people to eat less fried food lol. It’s more about timing, combinations, seasonal influence, and what suits their prakriti. That kind of detail takes time, and sometimes patients don’t get why it matters at first.. but slowly it clicks. Panchakarma — I do it when I feel it's needed. Doesn’t suit everyone all the time, but in the right case, it really clears the stuck layers. But again, it's not magic — people need to prep properly and follow instructions. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. Whether it’s a fever that won’t go or long-term fatigue or gut mess — I usually go deep into what's behind it. Surface-level fixes don’t last. I rather take the time than rush into wrong herbs. It’s more work, ya, but makes a diff in long run.

Dr. Manjula
I am an Ayurveda practitioner who’s honestly kind of obsessed with understanding what really caused someone’s illness—not just what hurts, but why it started in the first place. I work through Prakruti-Vikruti pareeksha, tongue analysis, lifestyle patterns, digestion history—little things most ppl skip over, but Ayurveda doesn’t. I look at the whole system and how it’s interacting with the world around it. Not just, like, “you have acidity, take this churna.” My main focus is on balancing doshas—Vata, Pitta, Kapha—not in a copy-paste way, but in a very personalized, live-and-evolving format. Because sometimes someone looks like a Pitta imbalance but actually it's their aggravated Vata stirring it up... it’s layered. I use herbal medicine, ahar-vihar (diet + daily routine), lifestyle modifications and also just plain conversations with the patient to bring the mind and body back to a rhythm. When that happens—healing starts showing up, gradually but strongly. I work with chronic conditions, gut imbalances, seasonal allergies, emotional stress patterns, even people who just “don’t feel right” anymore but don’t have a name for it. Prevention is also a huge part of what I do—Ayurveda isn’t just for after you fall sick. Helping someone stay aligned, even when nothing feels urgent, is maybe the most powerful part of this science. My entire practice is rooted in classical Ayurvedic texts—Charaka, Sushruta, Ashtanga Hridayam—and I try to stay true to the system, but I also speak to people where they’re at. That means making the treatments doable in real life. No fancy lists of herbs no one can find. No shloka lectures unless someone wants them. Just real healing using real logic and intuition together. I care about precision in diagnosis. I don’t rush that part. I take time. Because one wrong assumption and you’re treating the shadow, not the source. And that’s what I try to avoid. My goal isn’t temporary relief—it’s to teach the body how to not need constant fixing. When someone walks away lighter, clearer, more in tune with their system—that’s the actual win.

Dr. Surya Bhagwati
I am a Senior Ayurveda Physician with more than 28 years in this field — and trust me, it still surprises me how much there is to learn every single day. Over these years, I’ve had the chance to treat over 1 lakh patients (probably more by now honestly), both through in-person consults and online. Some come in with a mild cough, others with conditions no one’s been able to figure out for years. Each case brings its own rhythm, and that’s where real Ayurveda begins. I still rely deeply on classical tools — *Nadi Pariksha*, *Roga-Rogi Pariksha*, proper *prakriti-vikriti* mapping — not just ticking symptoms into a list. I don’t believe in ready-made cures or generic charts. Diagnosis needs attention. I look at how the disease behaves *inside* that specific person, which doshas are triggering what, and where the imbalance actually started (hint: it’s usually not where the pain is). Over the years I’ve worked with pretty much all age groups and all kinds of health challenges — from digestive upsets & fevers to chronic, autoimmune, hormonal, metabolic and degenerative disorders. Arthritis, diabetes, PCOD, asthma, thyroid... but also things like unexplained fatigue or joint swelling that comes and goes randomly. Many of my patients had already “tried everything else” before they walked into Ayurveda, and watching their systems respond slowly—but surely—is something I don’t take lightly. My line of treatment usually combines herbal formulations (classical ones, not trendy ones), Panchakarma detox when needed, and realistic dietary and lifestyle corrections. Long-term healing needs long-term clarity — not just short bursts of symptom relief. And honestly, I tell patients that too. I also believe patient education isn’t optional. I explain things. Why we’re doing virechana, why the oil changed mid-protocol, why we pause or shift the meds after a few weeks. I want people to feel involved, not confused. Ayurveda works best when the patient is part of the process, not just receiving instructions. Even now I keep learning — through texts, talks, patient follow-ups, sometimes even mistakes that taught me what not to do. And I’m still committed, still fully into it. Because for me, this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifelong responsibility — to restore balance, protect *ojas*, and help each person live in tune with themselves. That’s the real goal.

Dr. Snehal Tasgaonkar
I am an Ayurvedic physician with around 7 yrs clinical experience, though honestly—feels like I’ve lived double that in patient hours. I studied from a govt. medical college (reputed one) where I got deep into classical Ayurvedic texts n clinical logic. I treat everything from chronic stuff like arthritis, IBS, eczema... to more sudden conditions that just pop up outta nowhere. I try to approach each case by digging into the *why*, not just the *what*. I mean—anyone can treat pain, but if you don’t catch the doshic imbalance or metabolic root, it just comes bak right? I use Nadi Pariksha a lot, but also other classical signs to map prakriti-vikruti, dhatu status n agni condition... you know the drill. I like making people *understand* their own health too. Doesn’t make sense to hand meds without giving them tools to prevent a relapse. My Panchakarma training’s been a core part of my work. I do Abhyanga, Swedana, Basti etc regularly—not just detox but also as restorative therapy. Actually seen cases where patients came in exhausted, foggy... and post-Shodhana, they're just lit up. That part never gets old. Also I always tie diet & lifestyle changes into treatment. It’s non-negotiable for me, bcs long-term balance needs daily changes, not just clinic visits. I like using classical formulations but I stay practical too—if someone's not ready for full-scale protocol, I try building smaller habits. I believe healing’s not just abt treating symptoms—it’s abt helping the body reset, then stay there. I’m constantly refining what I do, trying to blend timeless Ayurvedic theory with real-time practical needs of today’s patients. Doesn’t always go perfect lol, but most times we see real shifts. That’s what keeps me going.

Dr. Narendrakumar V Mishra
I am a Consulting Ayurvedic Physician practicing since 1990—feels strange saying “over three decades” sometimes, but yeah, that’s the journey. I’ve spent these years working closely with chronic conditions that don’t always have clear answers in quick fixes. My main work has been around skin disorders, hair fall, scalp issues, and long-standing lifestyle stuff like diabetes, arthritis, and stress that kinda lingers under everything else. When someone walks into my clinic, I don’t jump to treat the problem on the surface. I start by understanding their *prakriti* and *vikriti*—what they’re made of, and what’s currently out of sync. That lets me build treatment plans that actually *fit* their system—not just push a medicine and hope it works. I use a mix of classical formulations, panchakarma if needed, dietary corrections, and slow, practical lifestyle changes. No overnight miracle talk. Just steady support. Hair fall and skin issues often feel cosmetic from outside—but internally? It’s about digestion, stress, liver, hormones... I’ve seen patients try 10+ things before landing in front of me. And sometimes they just need someone to *listen* before throwing herbs at the problem. That’s something I never skip. With arthritis and diabetes too, I take the same root-cause path. I give Ayurvedic medicines, but also work with *dinacharya*, *ahar* rules, and ways to reduce the load modern life puts on the body. We discuss sleep, food timing, mental state, all of it. I’ve also worked a lot with people dealing with high stress—career burnout, anxiety patterns, overthinking—and my approach there includes Ayurvedic counseling, herbal mind support, breathing routines... depends what suits them. My foundation is built on classical *samhitas*, clinical observation, and actual time with patients—not theories alone. My goal has always been simple: to help people feel well—not just for a few weeks, but in a way that actually lasts. Healing that feels like *them*, not just protocol. That’s what I keep aiming for.

Dr. Prasad Pentakota
I am Dr. P. Prasad, and I’ve been in this field for 20+ years now, working kinda across the board—General Medicine, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology—you name it. Didn’t start out thinking I’d end up spanning that wide, but over time, each area sort of pulled me in deeper. And honestly, I like that mix. It lets me look at a patient not just through one lens but a whole system-wide view... makes more sense when treating something that won’t fit neatly in one category. I’ve handled everything from day-to-day stuff like hypertension, diabetes, or skin infections to more serious neuro and cardiac problems. Some cases are quick—diagnose, treat, done. Others take time, repeated check-ins, figuring out what’s really going on beneath those usual symptoms. And that’s where the detail matters. I’m pretty big on thorough diagnosis and patient education—because half the problem is ppl just not knowing what’s happening inside their own body. What’s changed for me over years isn’t just knowledge, it’s how much I lean on listening. If you miss what someone didn’t say, you might also miss their actual illness. And idk, after seeing it play out so many times, I do believe combining updated medical practice with basic empathy really shifts outcomes. Doesn’t have to be complicated... it just has to be consistent. I keep up with research too—new drugs, diagnostics, cross-specialty updates etc., not because it’s trendy, but cuz it’s necessary. Patients come in better read now than ever. You can’t afford to fall behind. The end goal’s the same tho—help them heal right, not just fast. Ethical practice, evidence-based, and sometimes just being there to explain what’s going on. That’s what I stick to.

Dr. M.Sushma
I am Dr. Sushma M and yeah, I’ve been in Ayurveda for over 20 yrs now—honestly still learning from it every day. I mostly work with preventive care, diet logic, and prakriti-based guidance. I mean, why wait for full-blown disease when your body’s been whispering for years, right? I’m kinda obsessed with that early correction part—spotting vata-pitta-kapha imbalances before they spiral into something deeper. Most ppl don’t realize how much power food timing, digestion rhythm, & basic routine actually have… until they shift it. Alongside all that classical Ayurveda, I also use energy medicine & color therapy—those subtle layers matter too, esp when someone’s dealing with long-term fatigue or emotional heaviness. These things help reconnect not just the body, but the inner self too. Some ppl are skeptical at first—but when you treat *beyond* the doshas, they feel it. And I don’t force anything… I just kinda match what fits their nature. I usually take time understanding a person’s prakriti—not just from pulse or skin or tongue—but how they react to stress, sleep patterns, their relationship with food. That whole package tells the story. I don’t do textbook treatment lines—I build a plan that adjusts *with* the person, not on top of them. Over the years, watching patients slowly return to their baseline harmony—that's what keeps me in it. I’ve seen folks come in feeling lost in symptoms no one explained… and then walk out weeks later understanding their body better than they ever did. That, to me, is healing. Not chasing symptoms, but restoring rhythm. I believe true care doesn’t look rushed, or mechanical. It listens, observes, tweaks gently. That's the kind of Ayurveda I try to practice—not loud, but deeply rooted.

Dr. Nisha Bisht
I am an Ayurvedic physician with over 10 years of real, everyday experience—both in the clinical side and in managing systems behind the scenes. My journey started at Jiva Ayurveda in Faridabad, where I spent around 3 years juggling in-clinic and telemedicine consultations. That time taught me how different patient care can look when it’s just you, the person’s voice, and classical texts. No fancy setups—just your grasp on nidan and your ability to *listen properly*. Then I moved into a Medical Officer role at Uttaranchal Ayurved College in Dehradun, where I stayed for 7 years. It was more than just outpatient care—I was also involved in academic work, teaching students while continuing to treat patients. That phase really pushed me to re-read things with new eyes. You explain something to students one day and then end up applying it differently the next day on a patient. The loop between theory and practice became sharper there. Right now, I’m working as Deputy Medical Superintendent at Shivalik Hospital (part of the Shivalik Ayurved Institute in Dehradun). It’s a dual role—consulting patients *and* making sure the hospital ops run smooth. I get to ensure that the Ayurvedic care we deliver is both clinically sound and logistically strong. From patient case planning to supporting clinical staff and overseeing treatment quality—I keep an eye on all of it. Across all these years, my focus hasn’t changed much—I still work to blend classical Ayurved with today’s healthcare structure in a way that feels practical, safe and real. I don’t believe in overloading patients or selling “quick detox” ideas. I work on balancing doshas, rebuilding agni, planning proper chikitsa based on the person’s condition and constitution. Whether it’s lifestyle disorders, seasonal issues, chronic cases, or plain unexplained fatigue—I try to reach the cause before anything else. I still believe that Ayurved works best when it’s applied with clarity and humility—not overcomplicated or oversold. That’s the approach I carry into every patient room and every team meeting. It’s a long road, but it’s one I’m fully walking.
