Hlo, Tq for your question,

✨Yes, fennel (saunf) tea can help, but it works mildly and regular use + small lifestyle changes are needed for good results.

How fennel tea helps - Relaxes intestinal muscles - Reduces gas & bloating - Improves digestion - Helps stool move more smoothly 👉 It is safe and useful for mild constipation like yours (bowel every 2–3 days).

How to take fennel tea (correct method) - Take 1 teaspoon fennel seeds - Boil in 1 cup (200–250 ml) water for 5–7 minutes - Strain and drink warm Dosage: - Once daily at night OR - Twice daily (morning empty stomach + night) if constipation persists - Do not exceed 2 teaspoons/day.

Other than this u can take- 1️⃣ Isabgol (Psyllium husk) – BEST option - Most effective + safe for students Dose: - 1–2 teaspoons Isabgol With 1 full glass warm water or milk - At night before bed

2️⃣ Triphala (if stools are hard) -Mild Ayurvedic bowel regulator Dose - Triphala powder ½ teaspoon with warm water at night OR Triphala tablet 1 tablet at bedtime 👉 Helps gut movement + improves digestion 👉 Safe for short-term use (2–3 weeks)

3️⃣ Warm water routine (non-negotiable) - 1–2 glasses warm water immediately after waking - Sit on toilet without straining for 5–10 minutes

4️⃣ Simple food additions (hostel-friendly) Choose any ONE daily: - 1 fruit (papaya / apple / pear) OR 1 cup curd OR soaked raisins (6–8 overnight)

Hello, Fennel tea will help, but may not be enough as you have sedentary lifestyle+ limited access to food types. Along with fennel tea start having the following: 1. Good amount of fruits(one bowl a day which includes bananas, apples) 2. Dry grapes to be soaked in water overnight and the water to be drank in the morning. 3. Start taking one tablespoon of flax seeds soaked overnight.

Take care, Kind regards.

Hey… It’s okay, constipation like this is very common in students, especially with long sitting hours, hostel food, and stress. You’re not alone, and it’s good that you’re trying natural remedies

✨Will fennel tea help? Yes, fennel (saunf) tea can help in mild, recent constipation like yours (1–4 weeks). It improves digestion, reduces gas, and helps stools pass more comfortably. It is gentle, not a strong laxative.

How to take fennel tea * Fennel seeds: 1 teaspoon * Water: 1 cup * Lightly crush, boil 5 minutes, strain * Take once daily at night after dinner * If bloating is more: you can take it twice daily

You should see improvement in 2–4 days. Important tips: 1.Drink 2–2.5 liters water/day 2.1 glass warm water on waking 3.Stand and move 2–3 minutes every hour 4.Add one fruit daily and, if possible, 1 tsp ghee with meals

If still constipated after 5–7 days

Triphala churna ½ tsp with warm water at bedtime, 3–4 nights/week

Your constipation is recent and reversible. Start with fennel tea — it’s safe and gentle 👍

Take care, Dr.Sumi MS(Ayu)
