Doctors' responses

Hlo,

In Ayurveda, MG is often considered a “Vata-dominant neuromuscular disorder”, where Vata aggravation leads to muscle weakness, drooping eyelids, fatigue, and low stamina. Treatment focuses on: - Balancing Vata - Improving nerve and muscle function (Medhya & Rasayana therapy) - Supporting overall strength and energy

Ayurvedic Prescription - Brahmi Ghrita Dose: 5 ml orally, twice daily, with warm milk Benefit: Supports nerve function, mental clarity, and reduces fatigue

Ashwagandha Churna Dose: 5 g, twice daily, with warm milk or water Benefit: Improves muscle strength, vitality, and stamina

Chyawanprash Dose: 1tsp, twice daily Benefit: Rejuvenates body tissues, supports immunity

Abhyanga (Oil Massage) with Mahanarayan Oil Frequency: Daily, especially before bath Benefit: Reduces Vata, improves circulation, supports muscles

Nasya (Nasal Therapy) with Anu Taila Dose: 2–4 drops in each nostril, once daily Benefit: Supports eye function, mental clarity, and nervous system Lifestyle Recommendations Avoid cold, dry, and irregular routines (these aggravate Vata). Eat warm, cooked, easily digestible meals; include ghee, milk, and mild spices. Take short naps and avoid overexertion.

Practice gentle eye exercises (like blinking and palming)

Hello I get why you’re concerned. Myasthenia gravis is tough, but Ayurveda can help boost your strength, energy, and overall well-being if you do it right and safely.

YOUR CONCERN(AYURVEDA STYLE)

Basically, myasthenia gravis looks like: –Weak muscles (especially around the eyes) –Nerve-muscle communication is off because of Vata issues –Low energy = low stamina, you get tired fast

That’s why: –Your eyelids droop –Resting your eyes feels good –You’re always tired

HOW AYURVEDA CAN HELP (FOR REAL)

Ayurveda isn’t a cure for MG, but it can:

–Help your muscles get the nutrients they need —Make you less tired –Make your neuromuscular system stronger –Maybe slow things down –Make modern treatments work better

YOUR AYURVEDIC PLAN

1.Ashwagandha: 500 mg, twice a day after you eat → The best for strong muscles and healthy nerves.

2.Balaaristha 30ml twice a day → Makes your neuromuscular system work better.

3.Guduchi (Giloy): 500 mg, once a day → Tamps down your overactive immune system.

NASYA (SUPER IMPORTANT FOR YOUR EYES)

Every morning: Put 2 drops of Ksheerabala taila in each nostril. It helps: –Nourish your eye nerves –Make your eyelids less droopy –Reduce brain fog

DIET PLAN

Eat: –Warm, freshly cooked meals –Rice, ghee, milk –Moong dal –Veggie soups –Soaked almonds

❌Don’t eat:

Fasting –Cold stuff –Raw salads –Too much tea/coffee –Junk food

LIFESTYLE

—Don’t push yourself too hard –Rest up often –Do some easy yoga –Chill out (seriously)

WHAT TO EXPECT

If you stick with Ayurveda: –You’ll feel less tired –You’ll have more stamina –Your eyelids might get a bit better –Things might slow down

Heads up: Keep taking your neurologist’s meds.

MG is an autoimmune thing that messes with your nerves and muscles. Ayurveda helps by: Making you stronger, balancing your immune system, and feeding your nerves It’s not gonna replace your modern treatment, but it’s a great way to help yourself.

The fact that you feel better when you rest means your body’s asking for: –More energy –Healthy nerves –Gentle care, not pushing yourself

If you’re patient and stick to a good routine, your life can get way better.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Ayurvedic Perspective - MG is understood as a disorder of Mamsa Dhatu Kshaya (depletion of muscle tissue) and Vata imbalance. - Symptoms like droopy eyelids (ptosis) and fatigue reflect weakened neuromuscular transmission. - Ayurveda focuses on Rasayana (rejuvenation), Balya (strengthening), and Vata‑Kapha pacification.

Rx 1.Ashwgandha churna 1 tsp twice daily with warm milk after meals 2.Shatavari capsules 1 cap twice daily with warm milk after meals 3.Brahmi tablets 1 tab twice daily with water after meals 4.Jivantyadi ghrita 1 tsp in the morning with warm milk 5.Balarishta 20 ml with 20 ml water twice daily after meals

🧘 Supportive Practices - Gentle yoga: Pranayama (Anulom Vilom, Bhramari) for energy balance. - Diet: Warm, easily digestible foods; avoid excess cold, heavy, or oily meals. - Rest: Adequate sleep and pacing activities to avoid fatigue. - Oil massage (Abhyanga): With sesame or medicated oil to strengthen muscles.

Ayurvedic Therapies (Panchakarma) : Panchakarma therapies are often suggested to remove toxins (ama) and balance doshas. These include:

Abhyanga: Warm oil massage for improved circulation, muscle nourishment, and stiffness relief.

Basti: Medicated enemas, particularly for balancing Vata Dosha.

Nasya: Nasal administration of medicated oils to clear toxins from the head and improve nerve function. Shirodhara: Pouring medicated oil on the forehead for stress reduction and neurological health.

Adv: For better management consult with a nearby Panchkarma Specialist.

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

HELLO, Myasthenia gravis is a condition where communication between nerves and muscles become weak. Because of this -muslces get tired very easily -strength improves with rest but worsens with activity -eyelids droop because the muscles that lift them are weak. -you may feel better keeping your eyes closed -energy levels feel low even without much work This happens because the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the connection between nerve and muscle, so the message from the nerve does not reach the muscle properly. Modern mediicne helps by -improving nerve signas -reducing immune attack According to Ayurveda, this condition mainly involves VATA DOSHA (nerve function ) -vata controls movement, nerve impulses, muscle contraction -when vata is disturbed-> weakness, fatigue, poor coordination KAPHA DOSHA (onstruction) -kapha causes heaviness and blockage -when kapha blocks vata-> nerve signals cannot reach muscles properly DHATU WEAKNESS -Mamsa dhatu (muscle tissue) becomes weak -Majja dhatu (nerve tissue) becomes depleted OJAS KSHAYA (low vital energy) Causes -low energy -easy fatigue -poor immunity -desire to rest or keep eyes closed Droopy eyelids indicate involvement of -Prana vata -structures above the neck TREATMENT GOALS -remove kapha obstruction -normalize vata -strengthen nerve muscle communication -improve muscle tone of eyelids -increase overall energy and stamina -improve immunity without overstimulation -prevent progression and frequent relapses INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA= 1 tsp twice daily with warm milk for 6 months =strengthen muscles and nerves, improves stamina and energy , reduces fatigue, acts as rejuvenator 2) GUDUCHI GHAN VATI= 2 tabs twice daily after meals for 4 months =modulates immune response, reduces autoimmuneactivity, improves digestion and metabolism, prevents frequent weakness episodes 3) BALA CHURNA= 1/2 tsp twice daily after meals =strengthens neuromuscular tissue, especially helpful in weakness disorders, improves endurance 4) MAHAYOGARAJ GUGGULU= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =removes kapha obstruction, improves nerve function, reduces stiffness and heaviness 5) BRAHMI VATI= 1 tab at bedtime =supports brain nerve coordination, reduces mental exhaustion, improves focus and calmness EXTERNAL TREATMENT VERY VERY IMPORTANT 1) OIL MASSAGE= KSHEERBALA TAILA DAILY -focus on head, neck, shoulders, upper back =calm vata, improves nerve conduction, reduces fatigue 2) NASYA= instill 2 drops of Anu taila in each nostril daily morning for 21 days =direct effect on cranial nerves, improves eyelid muscle tone, reduces heaviness of eyes LIFESTYLE DO -adequate rest -fixed sleep routine -short breaks between activities -calm mental environment AVOID -over exertion -stress -late nights -excess screen time -skipping meals REST IS PART OF TREATMENT, NOT LAZINESS YOGA ASANAS -sukhasana -vajrasana -tadasana -shavasana Avoid long holds or strain PRANAYAM -Anulom bilom słów, gentle -Bhramari Avoid -kapalbhati -bhastrika -breath retention DIET -warm, freshly cooked meals -rice, wheat, moong dal -cows ghee -milk -vegetable soups -dates, soaked almonds AVOID -cold food and drinks -excess curd -fried, heavy foods -packaged food -excess sugar Food should nourish , not exhaust digestion HOME REMEDIES -warm milk with inch of turmeric at night -gentle eye rest palming -warm oil massage to scalp at night -avoid bright light strain IMPORTANT PRECAUTIONS Seek immediate medical help if -breathing difficulty -swallowing difficulty -sudden worsening of weakness -voice changes Never stop allopathic mediicnes abruptly This condition can be managed well with -proper medical care -ayurvedic support -discipline in lifestyle and diet Ayurveda heelps by -stengthening the body from inside -improving nerve muscle function -increasing energy and quality of life Improvement is gradual but meaningful DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR.
