Don’t worry. In winter, dandruff commonly increases due to dryness and scalp imbalance. Try to reduce spicy and oily food, as it can aggravate dandruff and itching. Take two oils, mix them well, and apply on the scalp: Dhurdhuradi Tailam Dhurdhurapatradi Tailam Massage gently for 10–15 minutes so the oil reaches the scalp properly. In the morning, wash your head with Ketoconazole shampoo. This will help control itching, flakes, and fungal growth. After a few days, once dandruff reduces, you can switch to Kottakkal Anti-Dandruff Shampoo for maintenance. About using a fine comb: You should not aggressively use a fine comb to remove dandruff, as it can irritate the scalp and increase itching. If flakes are very thick, you may gently loosen them after oiling, but avoid forceful scraping.

From what you’re describing (dusty flakes, lots of itch, then greasy again in 2 days), this sounds like a mix of dry winter scalp + dandruff/seborrheic buildup. -Yes, you can use a fine comb — gently, before shampoo, not daily Shampoo every 2–3 days, massage with fingertips only, leave shampoo 2–3 min If oily, wash on time (don’t wait too long) Oil max once a week, light amount, wash off in 1–2 hrs Avoid hot water, scratching, heavy products That’s it. If flakes are yellow & itchy, say so—different fix. **If no relief take this Rx: Nimba Taila / Karanja Taila Apply small quantity on scalp 2× weekly, keep 1–2 hours, then wash. Triphala Churna ½ tsp with warm water at night after food × 15 days. Gandhak Rasayan 1 tab BD after meals × 15 days. Aloe vera swarasa / gel Local application on scalp 20 min before head bath, 2–3× weekly. Pathya (Do): Wash head every 2–3 days Use lukewarm water Light scalp massage only -Apathya (Avoid): Hot water Excess oiling Scratching Curd, fried, very spicy foods -Follow-up: 15 days (If redness or thick yellow flakes increase, review )
