Hi, i tone does not cure myopia dear. How old is your child? It’s possible to reduce vision damage through ayurveda very effectively in children . But it includes regular medications and therapies like netra tarpana, putapaka, mukha lepa etc. and in cases with high degrees of myopia or other vision issues you will need to repeat the treatment process yearly so that vision is restored normally, you need to visit an ayurvedic speciality hospital, one with a shalakya tantra department and they will advise you well on the internal medication and treatment plans and eye exercises. If you are in kerala there are govt initiatives also.

HELLO, Mild myopia (-1.75 D) in a 7year old is quiet common, and its goof you’re addressing it early. CAN ITONE EYE DROPS REVERSE MYOPIA? No- Itone eye droops cannot reverse myopia Myopia (near sightedness) happens because -The eyeball becomes slightly longer than normal or -the cornea is too curved This is a structural change, not something caused by dryness or infection. Eye drops (itone) cannot shorten the eyeball or permanently reduce the minus powder. There is no scientific evidence that Itone or any Herabal eyedrop reverses established myopia. WHAT ACTUALLY HELPS IN MYOPIA MANAGEMENT For a 7 year old with -1.75D: 1) PROPER SPECTACLES- VERY VERY IMPORTANT Wearing the correct specs -prevents eye strain -prevents amblyopia (lazy eye) -allows proper visual development Not wearing glasses does not reduce the number- it can worsen progression 2) REDUCE SCREENT TIME (you’re already doing well) 1-2 hours daily is reasonable, but -follow the 20-20-20 rule -keep screens at least 30-40 cm away -avoid screens in dim light 3) INCREASE OUTDOOR TIME (most proven natural method) research shows -2 hours daily outdoor sunlight exposure -significantly slows myopia progression This is more effective than most alternative remedies Ayurveda views myopia under Drishti dosha or timer, Supportive measures(for eye health, not reversal) -Triphala eyewash (properly prepared) -Netra tarpana done under supervision at hospital -amla 1 tsp in diet -ghee in moderation -adequate sleep At age 7, -1.75 D: -Reversal is unlikely -stabilization is possible -slow progression is the goal Myopia often progresses until 15-18 years Get proper glasses 2 hour outdoor play daily limit continous near work eye check every 6 months ITONE DROPS will reverse -1.75 myopia Reducing screen time + outdoor play can slow progression Correct glasses are essential DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU

Itone may give temporary soothing (lubrication, mild anti-irritation), but it does not correct or reverse myopia. ✓What actually works to slow or control progression Strict screen time reduction = limit to <1 hour/day recreational screens Outdoor time = minimum 2 hours per day in natural daylight Near-work hygiene = 20-20-20 rule, proper distance (30–40 cm for books/tablets), good lighting, no reading in dim light or lying down Orthokeratology or low-dose atropine 0.01–0.05% eye drops = most effective proven methods (ask paediatric ophthalmologist) Multifocal / defocus glasses or MiSight contact lenses ✓Ayurvedic supportive medicines Triphala Ghrita – 5 gm morning with warm milk Saptamrita Loha – 125 mg twice daily with ghee + honey Netra Tarpana = ghee eye bath (if available at nearby Ayurvedic Panchakarma center, for 7–14 days) ✓Visit paediatric ophthalmologist this month = get cycloplegic refraction + axial length measurement + fundus exam Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma

Mild myopia in children cannot be reversed by eye drops alone. Itone eye drops may help support eye comfort, reduce strain, and maintain ocular lubrication, but they are not proven to reverse structural myopia. The main goal at this stage is to slow progression and support healthy visual development. Since the duration is relatively recent, this is a good time to focus on corrective habits. Reducing unnecessary screen exposure, ensuring proper viewing distance, regular breaks during near work, and increasing outdoor activity (ideally 1.5–2 hours daily) can significantly help in managing progression. Early intervention often gives better long-term outcomes. In some cases, individualized Ayurvedic and lifestyle approaches can support eye health when tailored properly to the child rather than used generically. A structured evaluation helps identify risk factors and create a personalized plan to protect vision and reduce further increase in power. Consulting early allows more effective management while the eyes are still developing.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
