Can I Exercise During My Period? - #50354

Can I do sheershashan during periods or can I work out during this time, as whenIwas in school I used to play every evening and perform yoga religiously in the morning, back then I never felt any discomfort during these times but now I don't do anything and I guess this is the reason my stomach started aching or something else?

You can do excercise in moderation, only if you are used to doing it every day. Do not start doing exercises suddenly on your periods. Balasana sasankasana pippalyasana etc will be good even on menstrual days.
