Doctors' responses

Chronic balanitis (recurrent for years) is usually due to: Diabetes (very common cause) Fungal infection (Candida) Poor hygiene Tight foreskin (phimosis) Irritant soaps Uncontrolled moisture Rarely autoimmune causes If diabetes is not controlled, balanitis keeps coming back. 👉 Have you checked your blood sugar recently? 🧠 What Is Balanitis? It is inflammation of: Glans penis Sometimes foreskin Symptoms: Redness Burning Itching White discharge Cracks Pain during urination 🌿 Neem & Turmeric Cream There is no single standard “Neem + Turmeric” prescription cream in allopathy. Ayurvedic / herbal options (commonly available): Neem based skin ointments (e.g., Neem ointment from trusted Ayurvedic brands) Turmeric (Haridra) ointment formulations Nimbadi cream (in some Ayurvedic pharmacies) ⚠️ But important: If it is fungal balanitis, neem alone will NOT cure it fully. ✅ How To Use (If Mild, Non-severe) Wash with lukewarm water only Pat dry completely Apply thin layer twice daily Keep area dry Avoid tight underwear Use for 7–10 days. If no improvement → stop and see doctor. 🚨 Important: If Fungal (Most Common) Best treatment is: Clotrimazole cream (allopathic antifungal) Apply twice daily for 2–3 weeks Continue 1 week after symptoms disappear Neem can be supportive, not primary cure. 🌿 Ayurvedic Internal Support If recurrent: Guduchi Neem tablets Haridra Chandraprabha vati (if urinary burning) Control sugar strictly Diet: Avoid sugar Avoid white flour Avoid excessive dairy Avoid very spicy food ⚠️ When To Consider Circumcision If: Recurrent balanitis Tight foreskin Phimosis Repeated infections Circumcision may permanently solve it.
