Immediate Home Remedies (First Line of Relief) ​Ardrak-Lavan Drops: Chew a small, thin slice of fresh ginger (Ardraka) sprinkled with a pinch of rock salt (Saindhava Lavana) and a few drops of lemon juice before swallowing. This acts as a potent Deepana-Pachana (digestive fire igniter and toxin digestant) to break down the heavy, oily food. ​Ushnodaka (Warm Water Therapy): Sip half a cup of warm water every 15–20 minutes. Avoid cold water entirely, as it will further freeze the Agni (digestive fire) and trap the Vata gas. ​2. Classical Ayurvedic Classical Formulations ​If the home remedies do not fully ease the pressure and cramps, you can consider these standard classical options: ​For Fast Gas Relief & Belching ​Lavan Bhaskar Churna: 1/2 teaspoon twice a day with lukewarm water or buttermilk after food. It is highly effective for downward movement of trapped gas (Vatanulomana). ​Hingwashtak Churna: 1/2 teaspoon mixed with the first morsel of warm food or simply taken with warm water. It directly targets Vata-induced colicky pain (Shoola). ​For Burning Sensation and Radiant Cramps ​Sankha Vati / Lasunadi Vati: 1 to 2 tablets after meals with warm water. Sankha Vati is excellent if the fried food is causing acidity alongside gas, while Lasunadi Vati helps specifically with heavy, greasy digestion. ​4. Dietary Regimen for the Next 24 Hours (Pathya) ​Fast or Eat Light: Give your stomach a break. Skip your next heavy meal. ​Mudga Yusha: Opt for thin green mung dal soup or Khichdi made with a dash of ghee, cumin, and ginger. ​Avoid: Dairy, tea, coffee, carbonated drinks, and further spicy or fried foods, as these will worsen the Vidahi (burning) nature of the current irritation.
