According to Ayurveda, chest congestion and occasional breathing difficulty are often linked to excess Kapha and sensitivity to cold. Advise the patient to avoid cold air, cold foods, and heavy dairy. Encourage warm water, ginger–tulsi tea with honey, steam inhalation, and keeping the chest warm. Light, warm meals and regular breathing exercises can help reduce mucus and improve breathing. —Rx: 1) Sitopaladi Churna – 2 gm with honey, twice daily after food 2) Talisadi Churna – 2 gm twice daily with warm water after 10 min of sitopladi 3) Vasavaleha – 1 tsp twice daily after meal 4) Steam inhalation with ajwain or eucalyptus once daily 5) shwaskuthar ras 2 tab twice daily after meal —Pathya (Advice): Avoid cold air, curd, refrigerated foods, cold drinks Drink warm water frequently Take light, warm diet Keep chest covered in cold weather —Follow-up: 7 days or earlier if breathing difficulty increases
