​हो सकता है कि आप वर्तमान में जो आयुर्वेदिक दवाइयां ले रहे हैं, उनमें से कुछ रस-औषधियां या रसायन आपके वर्तमान पाचन तंत्र के लिए भारी (गुरु) हों, जिससे कफ और बढ़ रहा है। ​आपकी स्थिति को बेहतर करने के लिए मैं आपको कुछ बेहद जरूरी और व्यावहारिक आयुर्वेदिक परामर्श दे रहा हूँ: ​1. खान-पान और जीवनशैली में तुरंत बदलाव (निदान परिवर्जन) ​गुनगुना पानी: आप आज से ही केवल हल्का गुनगुना या गुनगुने से थोड़ा गर्म पानी पीना शुरू करें। यह आपके शरीर के भारीपन को कम करेगा, ‘आम’ को पचाएगा और बलगम (कफ) को पिघलाकर खांसी में तुरंत राहत देगा। ​हल्का भोजन (लघु आहार): जब तक भारीपन ठीक नहीं होता, तब तक भोजन में मूंग की दाल, खिचड़ी, दलिया और परवल, लौकी जैसी हल्की सब्जियां लें। ​इनसे पूरी तरह परहेज करें: ठंडी चीजें (फ्रीज का पानी, आइसक्रीम), दही, केला, उड़द की दाल, नया चावल, मैदा, तली-भुनी चीजें और मिठाईयां पूरी तरह बंद कर दें। ये सभी कफ और मोटापे को बहुत तेजी से बढ़ाते हैं। ​दिन में सोना बंद करें: अस्थमा, कफ और मोटापे के रोगियों के लिए दिन में सोना (दिवास्वाप) सख्त वर्जित है। इससे शरीर में भारीपन और बढ़ेगा। ​2. तुरंत राहत के लिए सरल घरेलू उपाय ​अदरक और शहद: आधा चम्मच अदरक का रस और आधा चम्मच शहद मिलाकर दिन में दो से तीन बार चाटें। यह खांसी और अस्थमा के वेग को शांत करने के लिए एक बेहतरीन कफ-नाशक है। ​हल्दी-सेंधा नमक के गरारे: गुनगुने पानी में थोड़ी सी हल्दी और सेंधा नमक डालकर दिन में दो बार गरारे (gargle) करें। ​3. मेरी विशेष चिकित्सकीय सलाह (Medical Advice) ​महत्वपूर्ण सूचना: आप वर्तमान में जो भी आयुर्वेदिक दवाइयां खा रहे हैं, उन्हें तुरंत कुछ दिनों के लिए रोक दें।
