Your symptoms suggest a possible Pitta-Kapha imbalance in Ayurveda. Excess heat exposure, acidity, throat mucus, and fatigue together can trigger headaches, especially in sunlight. Relief from sleep and coffee indicates temporary stimulation and relaxation of the nervous system, but the root cause should be corrected naturally. Ayurvedic Advice Avoid direct sun exposure, especially from 11 AM–4 PM. Cover the head while going outside. Drink plenty of water, coconut water, or coriander/fennel infused water to reduce body heat. Avoid spicy, oily, junk foods, excess mobile use at night, and skipping meals. Reduce tea/coffee gradually; too much caffeine can worsen headaches later. For throat mucus (Kapha), avoid cold drinks, curd at night, and refrigerated foods. Helpful Ayurvedic Remedies Praval Pishti + Giloy Satva – helps reduce heat, weakness, and recurrent headaches. Sitopaladi Churna with honey – useful for throat mucus and mild cough tendency. Brahmi or Shankhpushpi syrup – supports mental relaxation, energy, and stress-related headaches. Lifestyle Support Sleep on time and wake up early. Practice 10–15 minutes of Anulom Vilom and deep breathing daily. Apply cool coconut oil or Brahmi oil on the scalp before sleep for calming effect.

Headaches that are triggered by heat or sun exposure and find relief through cooling, sleep, and stimulants like coffee are often classified in Ayurveda as Ardhavabhedaka (if localized) or general Suryavarta, typically involving a dominance of Pitta Dosha. 1. Immediate Relief & Local Application Chandanadi Lepa: Apply a paste of red sandalwood (Rakta Chandana) or white sandalwood mixed with rose water on the forehead. Its Sheeta Virya (cooling potency) directly counteracts the sun’s heat. Nasya Karma: Administer 2 drops of Anu Taila or lukewarm Ghee (Shata-dhauta Ghrita) in each nostril in the morning. This strengthens the sensory organs and creates a protective barrier for the nervous system (Nasyam hi shiraso dwaram). Cold Compress: Use a cloth soaked in cold milk or rose water on the eyes and forehead immediately after coming from the sun. •Pathyadi Kadha: Take 15–20 ml with an equal amount of water twice a day after meals. •Shirashuladi Vajra Ras: 1 tablet twice a day after food. This helps in chronic or recurring headaches by balancing Vata and Pitta. Diet & Lifestyle (Pathya-Apathya) The “Sun Shield”: If the 18-year-old must go out, suggest consuming a glass of Mishri-Saunf Sherbet (fennel and rock sugar drink) or Amla juice before leaving. This provides an internal cooling buffer. Hydration: Use copper-vessel water or water infused with Usheera (Vetiver) to keep the body temperature regulated. Dietary Triggers: Avoid “Katu” (spicy), “Amla” (sour), and “Lavana” (salty) foods, as these further aggravate Pitta. Limit fermented foods like curd or pickles during the summer months. The Coffee Habit: While caffeine provides temporary relief via vasoconstriction, it is Ushna (hot) and can cause a rebound headache. Gradually replace the second cup of coffee with Coconut Water or Gulkand (preserved rose petals) in milk. Preventive Measures Pranayama: Practice Sheetali or Sitkari Pranayama (cooling breaths) for 5–10 minutes daily to lower systemic heat. Abhyanga: Applying Brahmi Taila or Kshirabala Taila to the scalp and soles of the feet at night will improve sleep quality and prevent the recurrence of sun-induced Vata-Pitta imbalances.

8 mahine se thakan aur gale mein kaf (mucus) hona shareer mein ‘Ama’ (toxins) aur low immunity ka sanket ho sakta hai. Sunlight Pitta dosha ko badhati hai, jo sir ki rakta vahiniyon (blood vessels) mein tezi lata hai. Coffee mein caffeine hone se vasoconstriction (naso ka sikudna) hota hai, jisse temporary relief milta hai. Gale mein kaf aur thakan mandagni (weak digestion) ki nishani ho sakti hai. Ayurveda Medicines 1. Cephagraine Tablets: 2 tablets din mein do baar khane ke baad (Sunlight sensitivity aur headache control karne ke liye). 2. Pathyakshadhatryadi Kwath: 15 ml dawai ko 60 ml gungune pani mein milakar subah aur shaam khali pet lein (Vata-Pitta balance aur chronic headache ke liye). Anu Taila: 2-2 boond dono naak mein subah (Nasya) dalein. Yeh nerves ko taqat deta hai aur kaf saaf karta hai. 3. Draksharishta: 20 ml barabar pani ke saath khane ke baad lein. Yeh thakan (fatigue) door karne aur gale ki khich-khich mein madad karega. Dhup mein nikalne se pehle sar ko kapde se dhakein aur hydrated rahein. Zyada masaledar aur teekha khana kam karein.

You have to do w procedure at home 1. Nasya 2. Dhoompana You can search on YouTube how to do both of them. Nasya 1st then followed by dhoompana No need for any medicines. 1. Nasya with yastimadhu ghrut 2 drops each nostril for 7 days before meal and the instilled medicine should be expelled out through mouth. 2. Dhoompana with hridradi varti. This will give you relief on the 1st day but have to do this for 7 days so the relief will stay for longer duration.
