For as long as I can remember, I’ve struggled with being underweight. I’m 28 years old, 5’9”, and my weight barely touches 50 kg. No matter how much I eat, I just don’t seem to gain weight. My metabolism is ridiculously fast, and even if I eat high-calorie foods, my body doesn’t seem to hold onto it. I’ve tried protein shakes, gym workouts, and even increasing my meal portions, but nothing has worked long-term. Someone suggested I try Ayurveda for weight gain, saying that my body might be out of balance according to Ayurvedic principles. Apparently, being underweight could be due to an excess of Vata dosha, which affects digestion and nutrient absorption. I’ve been reading about herbs like Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Yashtimadhu, which are commonly used in Ayurveda for weight gain.
