Doctors' responses

Hello YG, I understand that you’re dealing with anxiety, social anxiety, lack of focus, poor memory, and low confidence, especially in social situations. As an Ayurvedic practitioner, I would like to first learn more about your medical history and lifestyle to offer personalized guidance. Could you share details such as any chronic conditions, current medications (besides Ashwagandha), digestive issues, sleep patterns, and physical activity? Additionally, it would be helpful to know how long you’ve been experiencing these symptoms, any triggers you’ve noticed, and whether you’ve tried other therapies like counseling or mindfulness practices.

Hi mam, I uses to stay alone since childhood, overthinking habit for past and future,I am getting suffer to meet the persons, jam unable to speak fluently and unable to remember while speaking that is one of the reason to avoid speaking in public .I have been using English medicine since 2020 but no use . currently my sleeping is good compare to past.

Hello YG, Thanks for opening up here but your issue needs holistic management rather than symptomatic treatment with medication. Since when have you been experiencing anxiety, social fear, and poor concentration? Do you have sleep disturbances, digestive issues, or past emotional stress? Have you tried relaxation techniques, breathing exercises, or therapy? These are some questions that come to my mind. Have you ever been put on any allopathic medication for the same in the past?

Dealing with anxiety, especially when it involves fear and lack of confidence, can be really tough. It sounds like you’re already taking steps towards healing with Ashwagandha, which is great, but let’s see what else we can try. Ayurveda sees anxiety as a vata imbalance, which means your mind and body might be outta sync. One idea is to incorporate some simple daily routines to help ground you.

Start by getting up around the same time each day. Consistency is key here. Engage in morning routines, like abhyanga (self-massage) with warm sesame oil before showering. This not only soothes vata but also makes you feel more connected with your body.

Diet’s a big player too. Try eating warm, cooked meals. Root veggies like sweet potatoes, carrots, and beets are excellent for grounding. Avoid cold and stale foods, as they may increase vata imbalance.

Pranayama or breathing exercises can also be beneficial. Nadi Shodhana, or alternate nostril breathing, is particularly calming. Spend around 5-10 minutes daily practicing this. It’ll help center your energy and reduce anxiousness.

Next, let’s talk about herbs. Besides Ashwagandha, Brahmi is another herb that’s known to enhance focus and memory. You could take Brahmi as a supplement, but check with an Ayurvedic practitioner for the right dosage.

Avoid caffeine or excessive sugar, they’d just spike anxiety levels. And try to engage in some form of exercise, like walking or yoga. These not only help relieve anxiety but also boost confidence.

For immediate relief in social situations, you might consider carrying lavender essential oil. Just smell it when you’re feeling anxious—it can be quite calming.

Remember, change takes time and some patience. Always consult with a healthcare provider before starting any new supplement or regimen. But hopefully, these tricks aid you on your journey to speaking confidently. You got this!
