It sounds like you've been dealing with a persistent issue. Anal itching, known as "tindri" in Ayurveda, can be influenced by various factors. Even after taking anti-parasitic medication like zentel, the problem may persist due to underlying imbalances that need attention. First, let's consider the dietary angle. An excess of pitta dosha, which could lead to digestive issues and discomforts, might be contributing to your condition. Reducing hot, spicy, and fermented foods might help in calming the pitta. Adding cooling foods, like cucumbers and mint, can be soothing. Take a closer look at your daily routine too. Sleep and stress can affect your body's balance. Try incorporating a routine of going to bed early and include yoga or meditation as a stress-relief tactic. This can aid in stabilizing the mind and digestion process. Some herbal-remedies may also be beneficial. Triphala churna, a blend of three fruits, is known for its mild laxative properties and can aid with cleansing the digestive tract. You could take a teaspoon mixed in warm water before bedtime for best results. Hygiene practices are essential. Ensure the area is kept clean and dry, but avoid over-washing or using harsh soaps that could irritate further. Gentle cleansing with water and patting dry may prevent any additional irritation. Lastly, if herbs or diet adjustments do not seem to improve the situation, consider a consultation with an Ayurveda practitioner. They can provide a more tailored approach. However, if at any point, you notice symptoms intensifying or new ones arising, it would be wise to get in touch with a healthcare professional for further evaluation. Remember it's always important to listen to the body's signals carefully.
