Premature greying from such an early age suggests Pitta-Vata imbalance, nutritional deficiencies, or hereditary factors. we need to focus on internal healing, diet, and stress management along with external care. Amla (Indian Gooseberry) + Brahmi + Bhringraj Powder – Take ½ tsp daily with warm water to nourish hair from within. Ashwagandha -1/2 tsp with warm milk at night Triphala (½ tsp at bedtime) Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta) Juice or Powder –take with buttermilk or warm water.
Eat black sesame seeds + jaggery (1 tsp daily). Drink fresh Amla juice or consume raw Amla daily. Include ghee, soaked almonds, walnuts, dates, and coconut in your diet. Avoid spicy, fermented, and processed foods, as they worsen Pitta. Henna + Indigo Powder – Natural remedy for greying (if you want to darken the hair naturally). Rinse hair with black tea or curry leaf water.

Dealing with oily dandruff and premature greying can be frustrating, but in Ayurveda, we can look into the root causes to find some solutions. Oily dandruff often results from an imbalance in the pitta and kapha doshas, while early greying might be linked to a pitta imbalance affecting your hair’s pigmentation.
Firstly, let’s address the dandruff. You could prepare a hair mask using neem leaves paste with a bit of turmeric which has both anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties, helpful for controlling dandruff. Apply this mix once a week on the scalp, leave it there for about 30-45 minutes, then rinse. Also, avoid oily and spicy foods, as these can aggravate pitta and kapha, worsening your condition.
For your premature greying, incorporating amla (Indian gooseberry) into your diet can be beneficial. Amla is a strong rejuvenator and can help restore natural hair color over time. A teaspoon of amla powder in some warm water every morning would be a good start. Massaging your scalp with bhringraj oil is another step—it not only strengthens hair but also helps maintain its natural color. Aim for a gentle massage 2-3 times a week before washing your hair.
Also, stress can accelerate greying, so incorporating practices like yoga or simple meditation can be significant.
Diet plays a big role too. Include foods rich in iron and calcium like leafy greens and nuts in your diet. Try to maintain regular meal timings to balance your digestive fire; that’s your agni. Avoid processed foods and reduce your caffeine intake due to its warming and drying properties.
Lastly, should any condition, like hair loss or scalp irritation, seem beyond what these methods alleviate, seeking a consultation with a healthcare professional is always imperative. Small steps in the right direction can lead you towards a much healthier scalp and hair.
