When dealing with ankyolosing spondylitis, Ayurveda recommends a holistic approach that aims to balance vata dosha, as this condition is primarily vata-aggravated. Since you’ve mentioned stiffness throughout the spinal cord and involvement of the eyes and ears, it’s essential to focus on reducing inflammation and enhancing joint mobility through diet, lifestyle, and treatments.

Dietary Recommendations: Start with a vata-pacifying diet: include warm, moist foods cooked with healthy fats like ghee and sesame oil. Add spices such as turmeric and ginger known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Limit consumption of processed foods, ice-cold drinks, and raw salads, as they may increase vata.

Lifestyle Tips: Consistency and routine are key. Incorporate gentle yoga postures that enhance flexibility without straining joints. Focus on asanas like Bhujangasana (cobra pose) and Tadasana (mountain pose), adapting movements to suit your comfort level. Regular meditation and pranayama can also help in managing stress which contributes to inflammation.

Ayurvedic Treatments: Panchakarma therapies such as Abhyanga (oil massage) with warm medicinal oils may benefit your condition. Basti (medicated enemas) can help in balancing vata and are traditionally used for disorders like yours. Consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner to personalize these treatments according to your condition’s severity.

Regarding Hemoglobin: Focus on foods rich in iron like figs, raisins and pomegranate juice. Herbal supplements like punarnava and ashwagandha may support blood well-being, but please check with a healthcare provider before starting them to ensure suitability for you.

Remember, regular medical consultations should accompany any Ayurvedic treatment, especially when symptoms affect vital organs like the eyes and ears. It’s crucial balance alternative approaches with conventional care for optimal results.
