When dealing with changes in uterus size and hormonal imbalances, it’s important to understand the underlying cause in an Ayurvedic context. Your history of a smaller uterus and low AMH levels can be a sign of reduced Kapha dosha and weakness in the rasa dhatu (the tissue corresponding to plasma and lymph). While your doctor’s suggestion of estrogen supplements is a standard approach, Ayurveda offers natural ways to support your reproductive health.

First, focus on nourishing your system with a Kapha-balancing and Rasayana (rejuvenative) diet. Include foods that enhance ojas (vital energy) like almonds, sesame seeds, dates, and ghee. Eating cooked meals with warming spices like ginger, cardamom and fenugreek may help boost the digestive fire, which is essential for nutrient absorption.

Regular intake of certain Ayurvedic herbs can be beneficial. Shatavari is known for its estrogenic effects and can promote women’s health. Take 1-2 teaspoons of Shatavari powder mixed with warm milk once daily. Another helpful herb is Ashwagandha, which supports overall vitality. Consider a half teaspoon with honey in the morning.

Lifestyle, too, plays a crucial role in supporting hormonal balance. Ensure you have a regular sleep schedule and include gentle yoga, especially poses that stimulate pelvic circulation like Bhujangasana (cobra pose) and Vajrasana (thunderbolt pose).

It’s also crucial to manage stress, as it can significantly impact hormonal balance. Incorporating meditation or pranayama practices can be helpful to calm the mind and steady body functions.

Monitoring changes is vital, so maintain regular check-ups with your healthcare provider. While Ayurveda can be an effective complementary approach, any noticeable symptoms or concerns should be promptly addressed by a medical professional.
