The symptoms you're describing, with the itching, small water-like bumps, and reddened hives upon scratching, are often linked to an imbalance in the body's doshas, particularly Pitta and Kapha doshas, according to Ayurveda. This imbalance might manifest as a skin condition called "Sheetapitta" in Ayurvedic literature, which is akin to what we know as urticaria or hives in modern medicine. While it can indeed be connected to allergic reactions, determining a specific allergen can be complex. First, it's important to seek the advice of a medical professional to rule out any serious underlying conditions. In terms of Ayurvedic management, focusing on blood purification, known as "Rakta Shodhana," can help to alleviate your symptoms. Though blood purification syrups might be beneficial, integrating a natural approach is also vital. Consider consuming Triphala, a traditional Ayurvedic remedy, which helps in detoxifying the system. Take around 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder with warm water before bedtime. Another recommendation is neem, for its potent anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. You may ingest neem tablets or juice, but begin with small quantities, ensuring your body adapt appropriately. Regarding diet, it's advisable to avoid hot, spicy, and oily foods as they can aggravate your Pitta dosha. Opt for cooling foods like cucumbers, melons, and leafy greens. Hydration is key, so ensure you're drinking sufficient water throughout the day. Fasting or following a light diet a day each week can also be helpful for balancing water retention and Pitta. For external application, any herbal paste made from sandalwood and rose water can soothe itching and redness. You can simply mix into a paste apply to affected areas for 15-20 minutes before washing it off. Ensure to test it on a small skin area first to check for possible reactions, as every skin types react uniquely. Lifestyle changes involve avoiding excessive sun exposure and stress, as they can exacerbate your symptoms. Practicing prayanama, particularly Sheetali Pranayama, regularly, can promote cooling of body and mind. If your symptoms persist, or if they become severe, it is crucial to pursue further medical advice. Prioritize your comfort and safety in addressing these concerns.
