I am really stressed about my hair lately, it's been thinning andfalling out a bit more than usual. A friend mentioned that multani mitti is great for hair health, but I'm not sure how to actually use it for this problem. I did some research, and I mean, there are a ton of ways to apply it, but it gets confusing!! Like, do I just make a paste with water? What are the best ingredients to mix it with for hair growth?? I tried mixing it with yogurt once, but I'm not sure if I did it right because my hair still looks kinda dull. Also, should I leave it on for a certain amount of time? I read somewhere that leaving it on too long might not be good – is that true?? I'm super hopeful about trying multani mitti for hair growth, but I don't wanna mess it up even more. How do you all use multani mitti for hair growth? Any tips or tricks would be super helpful!! Really appreciate it❤️

To effectively use multani mitti, also known as Fuller’s earth, for supporting hair growth and improving hair health, let’s delve into some practical steps grounded in Ayurvedic principles. First off, multani mitti is known for balancing excess oil and cleaning the scalp, which can indirectly promote healthier hair growth.

A good formula to start with is mixing multani mitti with ingredients that complement its properties. You can create a hair mask using multani mitti with some Ayurvedic suggestions:

1. Combine 3-4 tablespoons of multani mitti with a few tablespoons of water to form a smooth paste. If your hair is dry, consider replacing water with coconut milk or aloe vera gel for added moisture.

2. Add a tablespoon of amla (Indian gooseberry) powder or bhringraj powder, known in Ayurveda for nourishing the scalp and strengthening the hair. These are available in most health food stores or online.

3. For extra nourishment, mix in about 1-2 tablespoons of yogurt and a teaspoon of honey. These ingredients offer protein and hydration to your hair.

Apply the mixture evenly to your scalp and hair, ensuring every strand is well-covered. Leave it on for about 20-30 minutes. It is indeed true that leaving it on for too long could dry out the hair, so watch the time!

After the exposure time, rinse it thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water. Using a mild shampoo is also advisable to ensure all the mask is removed.

In terms of frequency, once a week should suffice, more than that could lead to excess dryness - especially if your hair is naturally dry.

Alongside these external applications, consider your internal balance as per Ayurvedic guidelines. Ensure you’re consuming a balanced diet rich in essential fatty acids, proteomins, and iron for healthy hair growth. Stay hydrated to maintain general wellbeing.
