is shilajit viagra - #25732

Savannah

I am really confused about something. I've been hearing people say that is shilajit viagra?? Like, I've heard a few friends say they’ve had great results taking shilajit for boosting energy and maybe even libido, which got me curious. I tried it out for a couple of months, but not feeling any dramatic changes lol. Last month, I started struggling with fatigue and low mood, plus a little anxiety. I thought maybe is shilajit viagra could help, but honestly, the results just seem kinda…meh. I did some research, and saw mixed stuff online about how it might help in a similar way as viagra, but I don’t know if I’m expecting too much? My diet is healthy, but I'm not sure if I should be doing more or even if is shilajit viagra like a permanent fix or just a short-term boost? Should I be using it differently or combining it with other herbs? Anyone else had similar experience?? I’d love some real feedback from you guys!!

Doctors’ responses

Shilajit is often touted as a rejuvenator in Ayurveda, known for its ability to enhance energy, stamina, and overall vitality. It's not exactly the same as viagra, though it reportedly can have positive effects on libido and energy. The active benefits of shilajit often stem from its potential to support bodily functions by aiding in nutrient absorption and perhaps improving energy at the cellular level. However, the responses can vary significantly from person to person, much like you've found. Given your experiences, there may be several reasons why you haven’t felt significant changes. First, it’s essential to acknowledge that shilajit's effects build over time, and not everyone will experience dramatic results in a couple of months. The impact may be subtler, grounding down mood swings, stabilizing energy levels, and improving general well-being. Consistency in usage is key, and sometimes it just needs more time. Your fatigue and low mood could also relate to various other factors like sleep quality, stress levels, or doshic imbalances. Since you've mentioned anxiety, it’s worth checking on your vata dosha status, as imbalances here can lead to anxiousness and energy dips. Integrating other practices like pranayama, meditation, and ensuring grounded, warm foods might provide a more holistic approach. These can soothe the nervous system, improving both energy and mood. Dietarily, maintaining regular, balanced meals aligning with your dosha can make a huge impact. Pay attention to your agni, digestive fire; efficient digestion is pivotal to proper absorption and vitality. It might be helpful to combine shilajit with other herbs such as ashwagandha, especially if stress and low mood are prominent. Ashwagandha is known for its adaptogenic properties that can stabilize mood and enhance endurance. But, don’t self-prescribe supplements without a professional consultation– as what's imbalanced needs to be carefully weighed and considered. If the low mood and fatigue persist, a thorough check-up with an Ayurvedic practitioner could provide personalized insight and adjustments. They can tailor recommendations specifically supportive of your holistic health, which might include oils, herbal formulas, or adjustments in your daily routine. Although shilajit shows promise and has a storied history in Ayurveda, remember it's not a direct substitute for conditions better addressed with other forms of medical care. If there's enduring anxiety or fatigue, understanding the underlying cause is crucial, and that might involve assessments beyond Ayurvedic practices depending on the severity.
