👉 Prolonged Kapha becomes very dense and hard to dissolve, so tablets alone are not enough. It is necessary to administer local therapies (Nasya) + Kapha-pachana.

Medicines 1 Lakshmi Vilas Ras (Naradiya): 1 tablet twice daily with warm water (after food). 2 Chitrak Haritaki Avaleha: 1 teaspoon twice daily with warm milk or water. 3 Sitopaladi Churna Mix: Mix: 2 grams Sitopaladi Churna + 1 pinch (125mg) Tankan Bhasma. Take this mixture with Honey twice daily.

External Therapy

Nasya (Nasal Drops) : Shadbindu Tailam. Put 2 drops in each nostril every morning on an empty stomach. Take steam with a few drops of Eucalyptus Oil or a pinch of Ajwain daily before bed.

Dietary & Lifestyle Advice

Start with Mix Yastimadhu churan (50gms) + Sitopaladi churan ( 50gms) + Giloy satva (20gms) = Take 1tsp twice daily with 2tsp honey and water. Do steam inhalation twice daily with few drops of eucalyptus oil Do Nasya with Anu tel 2drops in both nostril twice daily. Avoid citrus fruits, cold drink icecream sugary foods fried foods. Gargle with warm water with pinch of turmeric powder. Have warm haldi doodh at bedtime.

Chronic sinusitis with thick post nasal drip is very common in people with allergic sensitivity and it does not get cured permanently by only antihistamines or sprays . In Ayurveda, this condition is due to Kapha accumulation in sinuses with Vata blockage, along with Ama and allergic tendency

Cause is due to Dust and pollen allergies which repeatedly inflames the sinus lining which makes the mucus thick, sticky and difficult to drain. Over years, it becomes chronic. Medicines you took earlier gave temporary relief but did not clear the root cause

Internal medicines you can use to thin mucus, clear sinuses and stop allergy response.

You can take Sitopaladi churna 1/2 tsp teaspoon with Godanti bhasma 125 mg mixed with honey, twice daily after food. This reduces thick mucus, allergy irritation and post nasal drip.

Talisadi churna 1/2 tsp teaspoon with warm water twice daily after food. It helps liquefy sticky Kapha and improves sinus drainage.

Triphala Guggulu 1 tablet twice daily after food . It reduces longstanding inflammation and infection in sinuses.

Do Anu taila nasya daily. Put 2 drops in each nostril daily , lie down for 2 minutes, then spit out mucus that comes to throat.This will help in chronic sinusitis and post nasal drip.

Before nasya, if possible, take steam inhalation with plain water This helps open the sinus channels. Haridra khanda 1 teaspoon at night with warm milk or warm water. This is very effective for dust and pollen allergy. Avoid Cold drinks, ice cream, curd at night, bakery items, fried food, banana, cheese.

Prefer Warm food, soups, turmeric, black pepper, ginger, tulsi tea.

Avoid exposure to dust, use a mask when cleaning, and keep bedding dust free.

Hello, As you are mentioning the problem is chronic, it require strict adherence to diet-lifestyle modifications along with medications to get satisfactory results: Medications: 1. Dasamoola katutrayam kashayam 15ml----0----15ml 45 minutes before breakfast and 45minutes before dinner by adding 45ml of boiled warm water. 2. Pathyakshadatryadi kashayam 15ml—0-----15ml 45 minutes after breakfast and 45 minutes after dinner by adding 45 ml of boiled warm water. 3. Sinarid capsules 2—0----2 with medicine no.2 4. Sinol nasal drops 2 drops to each nostril at 0600AM and at 0600pm 5. Halin drops one capsule to be put in hot water to take steam inhalation morning and at night.

All these for 45 days. Follow up on 40th day.

Diet: 1. Freshly cooked hot food as much as possible 2. Drink 2 liters of boiled warm water throughout the day. 3. Avoid raw in all forms(fruits like apples, pear can be steamed/cooked before eating) 4. Avoid junk food, refrigerated-reheated food, cold beverages and food.

These are often more complex than they look at first, and they get misdiagnosed or overtreated in a lotta places. That’s where our classical tools come in—Ksharasutra therapy, Agnikarma, and a few other para-surgical techniques we follow from the Samhitas...they’ve been lifesavers honestly. My work here pushes me to keep refining surgical precision while also sticking to the Ayurvedic core. I do rely on modern diagnostics when needed, but I won’t replace the value of a well-done Nadi Pariksha or assessing dosha-vikruti in depth. Most of my patients come with pain, fear, and usually after a couple of rounds of either incomplete surgeries or just being fed painkillers n antibiotics. And I totally get that frustration. That’s why I combine surgery with a whole support plan—Ayurvedic meds, diet changes, lifestyle tweaks that actually match their prakriti. Not generic stuff off a handout. That's where strong communication matters. I make it a point to explain everything without dumping too much Sanskrit unless they’re curious. I also try to keep things simple, like I don’t want patients feeling intimidated or overwhelmed with 10 things at once. We go step by step — sometimes slow, sometimes quick depending on the case. There’s no “one protocol fits all” in Ayurveda and frankly I get bored doing same thing again and again. I go by classic diagnosis principles like prakriti analysis, dosha imbalance and all, but also mix in what I learned from modern side—like understanding their lifestyle triggers, screen time, sleep cycles, food gaps n stress patterns. I don’t rush into panchakarma or heavy medicines unless it’s needed... prefer starting with simple herbs, diet change, basic daily routine correction. If things demand, then I go stepwise into Shodhan therapies. My goal is to not just “treat” but to help ppl know what’s happening in their body and why its reacting like that. That awareness kinda becomes half the cure already. Not everything is perfect. Sometimes ppl don’t follow what you say, sometimes results are slow, and yeah that gets to you. I still keep learning everyday, reading, observing patterns, correcting myself when needed, because medicine never stays same for long, and neither should the doctor.
