Dadimashtak mainly helps Vata + Kapha type loose motions, sometimes also used for Vata + Pitta if there’s burning or acidity. Since your stools became well-formed but still sticky, it means digestion is improving but not fully normalized. What to do: Take Dadimashtak for a few more days as advised. Eat light, warm, cooked foods; avoid oily, cold, or very sweet foods. Add Triphala at night to gently regulate bowel movements. If sticky stools persist, consult to check for infection or gut issues. Your acne and sticky stools may improve once gut digestion is fully balanced.

Dadimashtak Churna and Dosha Indications - Primary action: It is mainly a Grahani medicine (for chronic loose stools, indigestion, bloating). Dosha focus: - Vata + Kapha imbalance: Because it contains warming, digestive spices (like ginger, black pepper, pippali) along with pomegranate, it calms Vata (irregularity, bloating) and Kapha (stickiness, heaviness). - Pitta: Dadimashtak is generally considered Pitta-friendly because pomegranate is cooling and balances acidity. So, it doesn’t aggravate Pitta much, but its main indication is Vata–Kapha type Grahani. That’s why you see different opinions: it is safe in Pitta but primarily prescribed for Vata–Kapha Grahani (loose, sticky stools, bloating, indigestion). ✅ Why It Helped You - Your loose sticky stools with acne suggest Ama (toxin accumulation) from weak digestion. - Dadimashtak strengthens Agni (digestive fire), reduces stickiness, and helps form stools. - The fact that one dose gave you formed stool shows your digestion responded immediately. 🌿 What to Do for Sticky Motion (Residual Ama) Even if stools are formed, stickiness means Ama is still present. Ayurveda suggests: 1.Continue Dadimashtak in small doses (½–1 tsp twice daily after meals with warm water). 2.Add Deepana–Pachana herbs to burn off Ama: - Hingvastak Churna ½ tsp after meals. - Trikatu Churna (ginger + black pepper + pippali) ¼ tsp with honey before meals. 3.Diet: - Favor warm, light meals (khichdi, moong dal, rice, cumin, ginger). - Avoid heavy dairy, fried food, excess sweets, and cold/raw meals. 4.Lifestyle: - Warm water in morning. - Gentle yoga: Vajrasana after meals, Pawanmuktasana. - Regular sleep. 5.For acne (linked to Ama + Pitta): Add Neem or Manjishtha internally for blood purification. Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

DADIMASHTAK IS MAINLY A VATA KAPHA BALANCING MEDICINE THOUGH SOME ARTICLES MENTION VATA PITTA BECAUSE IT DOES NOT AGGRAVATE PITTA AND CAN FEEL SOOTHING IN SOME PEOPLE BUT CLASSICALLY AND CLINICALLY IT WORKS BEST FOR VATA KAPHA AND AAMA RELATED DIGESTIVE ISSUES YOUR THREE YEAR HISTORY OF LOOSE STICKY STOOLS WITH ACNE CLEARLY SHOWS AAMA AND KAPHA DOMINANCE WITH WEAK AGNI AND THE FACT THAT EVEN ONE DOSE FORMED YOUR STOOL CONFIRMS THAT YOUR DIGESTION NEEDED DEEPANA PACHANA AND GRAHI SUPPORT THAT IS WHY OTHER MEDICINES DID NOT WORK AND THIS DID FORMED BUT STILL STICKY STOOL MEANS AAMA HAS REDUCED BUT KAPHA IS STILL PRESENT SO THE TREATMENT NEEDS CONTINUITY DADIMASHTAK CAN BE CONTINUED IN PROPER DOSE WITH WARM WATER OR TAKRA AS ADVISED AVOID CURD AT NIGHT FRIED OILY AND BAKERY FOODS AVOID FREQUENT SNACKING AND KEEP DINNER LIGHT AND EARLY WARM WATER THROUGH THE DAY IS IMPORTANT SOMETIMES ADDITIONAL AAMA PACHANA AND KAPHA CLEARING SUPPORT IS NEEDED TO COMPLETELY REMOVE STICKINESS ONCE DIGESTION BECOMES CLEAN AND STOOL IS NON STICKY THE ACNE WILL ALSO START REDUCING NATURALLY BECAUSE THIS IS GUT ORIGIN AND NOT JUST A SKIN PROBLEM

Hello I totally get how annoying it is dealing with loose, sticky stools and zits for ages. When your digestion is off, it messes with everything – your energy, skin, you name it! The fact that Dadimashtaka helped your stool says a lot about what’s really going on. Don’t worry,we’ll figure it out. YOUR CONCERN Problem: Loose, sticky, slimy poops for 3 years Also: Acne (toxins + heat in your blood) What helped: One dose of Dadimashtaka Churna made things solid What’s still happening: Poop is still sticky This is a textbook Ayurvedic thing. AYURVEDIC EXPLANATION So, what does Dadimashtaka do? It’s mainly for Vata + Kapha, and a little for Pitta. Different articles might confuse you, but here’s the deal: It fixes Vata → which stops the runs It gets rid of Kapha + Ama → which clears stickiness, mucus, and that heavy feeling It doesn’t mess with Pitta → so it’s cool even if you have acne or heartburn Your symptoms show it: Loose stools → Vata Sticky, slimy stools → Kapha + Ama Acne → Pitta stuck with Ama in your blood This is called: **Sama Grahani **(Basically, IBS with toxins stuck in your gut) The reason your poop got solid right away is because Dadimashtaka got your digestive fire going and chilled out Vata. But it’s still sticky because Kapha-Ama is still coating your insides. WHY THE STICKINESS? Sticky poop means: Your gut is still coated with Ama (undigested, toxic gunk) Even though you’re digesting food better, that old Kapha layer is still there Think of it like: The fire’s burning again, but there’s soot in the chimney. So, we need to scrape, dry, and clean out your gut. AYURVEDIC PLAN 👉 Keep taking Dadimashtaka (to keep things solid) Take: Dadimashtaka churna – ½ tsp With warm water After lunch & dinner (Don’t stop – it keeps your digestion steady) 👉 Add something to scrape off Ama-Kapha (for the stickiness) Add Trikatu churna: ¼ tsp With warm water Before meals, twice a day This will: Dry out the mucus in your gut Break up that sticky Kapha Let you clean out your bowels completely 👉 To clear up acne & internal toxins Since those gut toxins are going into your blood, add: Gandhak Rasayan 1 tablet twice a day after food This cleans: Blood Skin Gut FOOD & LIFESTYLE (Super Important) ❌ AVOID (these make stools sticky) Yogurt, paneer, cheese Banana Milk at night Fried stuff Bakery stuff, cookies Tea, coffee Cold drinks ✅ Eat more Moong dal Rice, khichdi Pomegranate Buttermilk (watered down, spiced with ginger + cumin) Only warm water What to Expect In about a week or ten days: Poop won’t be sticky anymore Your bowels will feel empty and clean Less gas & bloating Acne will slowly dry up and get better Your gut’s finally responding – you just need to finish the detox. You’re not broken – your digestion was just buried under gunk for years. Now it’s waking up. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Pls tell any bitter medicine to digest pitta ama.Symtoms- loose sticky motion, bloating, red skin rash on cheeks & hairfall.Vata imbalance also which is secondary(causing dry skin & chills). Pungent medicine increase loose bowels.Took dadimashtak & stool is well formed but still sticky.Only bitter medicine works on me.Pls tell any affordable bitter medicine to digest pitta ama.

WHY PUNGENT MEDICINES DON’T WORK Strong herbs like trikatu, hing, ginger, etc., can: – Get your digestion disturb – But they can also make things too hot and increase bowel movements. So, for you, they might cause: – More diarrhea and burning feelings You need cooling, not heating, medicines. THE BEST BITTER MEDICINE Phaltrikadi Kwath It’s great for digestion when things are too hot. – Helps form solid stools – Clears up skin problems 15 ml kwath + 15 ml warm water Two times a day before eating. It works better than Patoladi for long-term diarrhea. Musta Churna (Cheap and Works Well) If you need something even cheaper: Musta (Cyperus rotundus): – Tastes bitter – Makes your gut stronger – Stops diarrhea – Cooling – Lessens bloating ½ teaspoon twice a day before eating with warm water. You can take it with Dadimashtaka. if your skin is really broken out Add Khadirarishta 20 ml after lunch and dinner with the same amount of water. It cleans heat from your blood and stops rashes and hair loss. What Works Best for You You should take: – Dadimashtaka Churna – before eating – Phaltrikadi Kwath – before eating – Khadirarishta – after eating This should: – Get rid of the extra heat. – Make your stool normal – Clear up your skin – Stop hair from falling out – Calm you down.

HELLO, Dadimashtak churna is a classical Ayurvedic formulation composed of 8 herbs including Dadima (pomegranate), Nagarmoth, Saindhava,Ela, Haritaki,Pippali, and others. Its properties are -Taste= astringent, bitter -Quality=light, drying -Potency= heating -Post digestive effect= sweet DOSHA AFFECTED -PRIMARILY= vata kapha disorders- It is effective in chronic diarrhea, loose stools, and mucus in stools -SECONDARY= some sources mention vata-pitta due to heating potency and mild pitta aggravating action, especially if used in excess or in a person with strong pitta Dadimastaka is generally recommended for Vata-kapha imbalance leading to loose , sticky stools. Your experience aligns with this- quick improvement install consistent suggests it was suitable for your Doshic pattern WHY STICKY STOOLS PERSIST Even if your stool is well formed 1) Incomplete digestion of mucus/secretion =sticky stools indicate lingering kapha or Ama (undigested metabolic toxins) in the intestines 2) WEAK AGNI (Digestive fire) =chronic loose stools often correlate with low digestive power, leading to imperfect absorption 3) GUT MICROBIOME IMBALANCE =chronic diarrhea or sticky stools can alter gut flora INTERNAL MEDICATIONS AFTER DADIMASHTAK 1) PANCHASAKAR CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water twice daily =mild drying and digestive promoting powder 2) TRIPHALA CHURNA= 1 tsp with warm water at night =supports digestion, gently regulates bowels, and balances all three doshas 3) KUTAJ GHAN VATI= 2 tabs twice daily after meals =excellent for chronic diarrhea and sticky stools DIET AND LIFESTYLE ADJUSTMENT AVOID -cold, heavy, oil, sweet foods, excess milk or curd, fried snacks FAVOR -warm, light, easy to digest meals, rice gruel, moong dal khichdi, roasted cumin, and dry roasted spices HYDRATION -warm water, ginger tea, but avoid excessive cold fluids ROUTINE -regular meal timings , avoid late night eating gentle abdominal massage to stimulate digestion DIGESTIVE FIRE ENHANCEMENT -Ginger, black pepper, long pepper, and rock salt in warm water before meals can gently kindle digestive fire without aggravating pitta SUPPORT GUT HEALING -PROBIOTIC= fermented foods like homemade yogurt (if tolerated), but in small amounts -TRIPHALA DECOCTION=1/2 tsp powder in warm water at night to remove residual ama and regulate kapha Avoid overuse of heating herbs if you notice heartburn, irritability, or redness on skin (pitta aggravation) DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. MAITRI ACHARYA

Dadimashtaka churna is primarily Vata balancing because it improves agni and grahani function and controls irregular bowel movements The secondary dosha it works on depends on the presentation If there is ama mucus heaviness bloating and stickiness it pacifies Kapha along with Vata If there is burning sour smell acidity or irritation it also calms Pitta because dadima and madhura rasa protect the gut lining So practically it is a Vata pradhana yoga with Kapha Pitta shamana action especially in chronic grahani type conditions The fact that your stool became well formed after just one dose tells us very clearly that the root problem is weak agni with grahani dysfunction and Dadimashtaka corrected the coordination immediately However the sticky nature means ama is still present Stickiness always indicates incomplete digestion and kapha ama coating in the intestines Even though the shape improved the internal cleansing is not complete yet For sticky stools you should continue Dadimashtaka regularly rather than stopping after one dose Take it before food with warm water or thin buttermilk Do not mix it with cold water Also very important avoid taking it with milk or curd Because this is a three year old issue one dose improvement is a good sign but full correction takes time Along with this small changes matter a lot Eat freshly cooked warm food avoid oily fried cheese bakery sugar and packaged food Avoid fruit with meals Avoid overeating at night A short walk after meals helps reduce stickiness Ginger jeera ajwain in cooking will help dry the ama If acne is also present it shows ama and mild pitta involvement so once stools become non sticky consistently then skin will also slowly improve Do not add many medicines now Let Dadimashtaka work for a few weeks If after two to three weeks stools are still sticky then a mild ama pachana like trikatu in very small dose or buttermilk with roasted jeera can be added but only after seeing tolerance
