Yes vilwadil lehyam has heat producing properties. You will have to reduce the dose and take after food with water. If with lesser dose you donot see any results, you can add Yastimadhu churan 1/2tsp + sitopaladi churan/1/2 tsp. with honey and water. Do pranayam lom -vilom kapalbhatti bhastrika daily for 5-10mins twice Avoid citrus fruits, cold drink, icecream, sugary foods, junk food.

Yes — mild pimples are a common early reaction with Vilwadi Leghyam, especially in the first week. It has heating properties and can increase pitta, which shows up as facial breakouts (more so with combination skin). - What to do (quick): Take it after food Avoid spicy/oily foods for now Use gentle skincare - If pimples worsen or last beyond 10–14 days, stop and consult - dose to use-½ to 1 teaspoon (2.5–5 g) Once daily, after food Take with lukewarm water As pimples continue, reduce to ½ teaspoon or take it on alternate days.

Hello So, yeah, getting pimples when you start Vilwadi Leghyam is super normal and actually a good sign! Here is the reason Vilwadi Leghyam is like a super-cleaner for your system. It basically does three things: – Breaks down built-up gunk (Ama) – Shoves it into your bloodstream – Kicks it out through your skin, stools, and urine Since you already have some Pitta, Ama, and Kapha going on (you mentioned phlegm, mouth ulcers, and bloating), your body’s just using your skin to get rid of the crud when the Vilwadi starts working. That’s why you’re seeing pimples, little boils, or rashes for a bit. Think of it as a cleaning flare-up—it’s a good thing, not a bad reaction. SHOULD U WORRY? No❌ As long as: – The pimples are small – You don’t have a fever – You’re not itching like crazy …it just means the junk’s leaving. If you stop now, the Ama will just go back inside. HERE’S WHAT TO DO 1️⃣ Keep taking Vilwadi Leghyam: But cut back a little: → ½ teaspoon twice a day 2️⃣ Add this – it’s important Guduchi (Giloy) capsule → 1 capsule twice a day after you eat This keeps the Pitta in check while things are detoxing. 3️⃣ EXTERNAL CARE Put coconut oil mixed with a tiny bit of turmeric on the pimples before bed. And skip the face wash with all those chemicals. THINGS TO AVOID RIGHT NOW – Tea, coffee – Fried stuff – Baked goods – Sour foods – Pickles –Spicy chili These will only make the breakouts worse. HOW LONG WILL IT LAST? Usually: * About 7–14 days Then the pimples will dry up, your skin will clear up, your digestion will get better, and the mouth ulcers will go away. So, yeah, it’s all good—it means the Vilwadi is doing its thing Just don’t try to stop it. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Hello , Its very normal to have pitta aggravated effects like breakouts and mouth ulcers due to side effects of vilwadi lehyam. You may be taking more amount than required I would suggest - 1. Apply jeshtmad powder 1/2 tea spoon with sunthi powder 1/4th tea spoon mixing it with ghee on all of the mouth ulcers . 2. Reduce the dose 3. Stop having heavy meals and oily, spicy meals. 4. Have mahamanjishthadi kadha to counteract side effects . Take 15 ml kadha with 15 ml water twaice a day after meals. Let me know Please get a personal consultation. I hope you get well.

✅ What You Can Do - Reduce the dose: If you’re taking 1 tsp twice daily, cut down to ½ tsp once daily and observe for a week. - Take with cooling Anupana: Instead of plain water, use lukewarm milk or ghee as the vehicle. This balances the heat. Add cooling support: - Pravala Pishti (125 mg once daily with rose water) - Sariva (Hemidesmus indicus) decoction or Sarivadyasava (15 ml with water after meals) - Dietary balance: Avoid chilies, fried foods, excess ginger/garlic while on Vilwadi. Favor cucumber, coriander, fennel, and coconut water. WARM REGARDS DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

YES IT CAN OCCUR AND IT IS IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THE PHARMACOLOGICAL NATURE OF VILWADI LEHYAM VILWADI LEHYAM IS A LEHYA KALPANA WITH STRONG DEEPANA PACHANA AND AMA KAPHA SHODHANA PROPERTIES IT ACTS MAINLY ON THE ANNAVAH AND RASAVAH SROTAS AND ALSO HAS A PRABHAVA ON RAKTA DHATU WHEN STARTED IT STIMULATES JATHARAGNI AND MOBILISES ACCUMULATED AMA AND KAPHA FROM DEEP TISSUES IN PITTA PREDOMINANT OR COMBINATION SKIN TYPES THIS INTERNAL HEAT AND TOXIN MOBILISATION CAN MANIFEST TEMPORARILY AS FACIAL PIMPLES OR MINOR SKIN ERUPTIONS THIS IS NOT AN ALLERGIC REACTION BUT A TRANSIT PHASE OF DOSHA AND AMA CLEARANCE SINCE YOU HAVE BEEN TAKING IT FOR LESS THAN A WEEK THIS RESPONSE IS GENERALLY SELF LIMITING HOWEVER DOSE TIMING AND ANUPANA ARE IMPORTANT TO PREVENT PITTA AGGRAVATION IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE TAKEN AFTER FOOD IN SMALL QUANTITY AND AVOIDED WITH EXCESS HEAT IN DIET IF PIMPLES INCREASE WITH BURNING OR REDNESS THEN MODIFICATION IS REQUIRED OTHERWISE IT IS CONSIDERED A TEMPORARY RESPONSE DURING INTERNAL CLEANSING AND DOES NOT NECESSARILY WARRANT STOPPING THE MEDICINE

HELLO, In Ayurveda, pimples appearing after starting Vilwadi Lehyam can happen in some people, especially within the first few days. What you are experiencing is generally explainable and usually temporary WHY THIS CAN HAPPEN Vilwadi lehyam is -heating -sharp/penetrating -designed to reduce kapha, remove ama (toxins), and improve digestion WHEN YOU TAKE IT -It stimulates digestive fire -mobilizes accumulated toxins -can temporarily increase pitta In people with -combination or pitta prone skin -history of mouth ulcers (a pitta sign) This excess Pitta may express externally as -acne/pimples -mild skin eruptions -heat sensations So yes- this can be normal initial reaction especially since -You’ve taken it less than 1 week -No other Side effects are present WHAT YOU SHOULD DO NOW To balance pitta while continuing the medicine 1) ADJUST HOW YOU TAKE VILWADI LEHYAM -Take it after food, not on an empty stomach -Use lukewarm water, not hot water -If pimples increase, reduce the dose temporarily (for example, half the prescribed amount) 2) AVOID PITTA AGGRAVATING FOODS Temporarily reduce -spicy, fried, oily foods -excess coffee, tea -chocolates and bakery items PREFER -light, cooling foods -rice, green gram, vegetables -adequate hydration 3) SUPPORT SKIN AND PITTA BALANCE -Drink coriander seed water (boil 1 tsp in water, cool sip during the day) -avoid late nights and excess heat exposure HOW LONG WILL THIS LAST? -usually 5-10 days -As digestion stabilizes and toxins clear, pimples should reduce on their own WHEN TO STOP Stop the medicine -if pimples become painful or pus filled -mouth ulcers worsen -burning sensation or excessive heat develops DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. MAITRI ACHARYA
