Since cough with phlegm has been present for 2 months and you also have shortness of breath, it needs proper evaluation rather than repeated antibiotics, especially if blood tests are mostly normal. Persistent cough can be related to airway sensitivity, allergy, sinus/post-nasal drip, reflux, or residual inflammation after infection. Slightly raised eosinophils may suggest an allergic component. Helpful measures: • Avoid cold, refrigerated and heavy mucus-forming foods • Prefer warm fluids, light diet and steam inhalation • Sitopaladi churna with honey or Talisadi churna are commonly used for productive cough in suitable cases Because breathlessness is present, please consult for detailed assessment (and pulmonary evaluation if needed) so treatment can be personalized and any reminder signs are properly checked.
