Doctors' responses
Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
The swelling on your thigh, following hip inflammation, suggests an imbalance in the body’s natural doshas, particularly an excess of Kapha and possibly some Pitta involvement. Swelling, or edema, is often linked to an accumulation of Kapha, which manifests as heaviness and stagnation in the body. The inflammation in the hip may be related to an increase in Pitta, which is associated with heat and inflammation.
In Ayurveda, such conditions are seen as systemic imbalances rather than isolated issues. The body’s inability to properly circulate fluids and manage inflammation indicates a disruption in your internal balance, possibly influenced by factors such as diet, lifestyle, stress, or previous injuries.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.
Please answer each question as clearly as possible.
