What to do for aching knees and thumbs that make it hard to bend legs and write? - #53431
Respected Sir / Madam, I am suffering from aching/throbbing on my two knees,legs and as well as on my thumbs of my both hands resulting cannot bend my legs and do not write easily. What to do? Thanks and regards, Goutam

This kind of joint discomfort affecting knees and thumbs is often related to an imbalance in Vata, sometimes associated with inflammation in the joints. Since it is recent, with the right care it can be managed well. Try to keep the joints warm and avoid exposure to cold. Reduce intake of very dry, cold, and processed foods. Include warm, freshly cooked meals and a little ghee in your diet. Gentle movement is important, but avoid overstrain. Give proper rest to the joints. At home, you can do gentle oil application with warm sesame oil on knees and thumbs, followed by mild hot water fomentation. Taking turmeric with warm milk once daily can also help reduce inflammation. Yograj Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Maharasnadi Kwath – 15 ml with equal warm water twice daily after food Ashwagandha churna – 1 teaspoon with warm milk at bedtime This will help in reducing pain, improving joint mobility, and strengthening the tissues gradually.
