Hi Kanwal,

I’m so sorry for your loss, and I can understand your desire to have a child. Can you share if you’ve noticed any other symptoms like irregular periods, weight gain, or stress levels? Also, how is your overall health, and have you been following any fertility treatments?

In Ayurveda, poor egg quality and high hormone levels often indicate an imbalance in Vata and Pitta. Herbs like Shatavari, Ashwagandha, and Guduchi can help nourish the reproductive system and balance hormones. Triphala can detoxify and improve ovary health. A Pitta-pacifying, nourishing diet and reducing stress through meditation or yoga can also help improve fertility.

Your situation sounds challenging and it’s understandable you want guidance. In Ayurveda, we focus on creating balance in the body and mind to support fertility. With high FSH, LH and poor egg quality, it’s often related to a vata imbalance and maybe aggravated pitta, affecting the reproductive tissue or shukra dhatu. Our aim here is about balancing those doshas and rejuvenating the reproductive system.

First, let’s talk diet: focus on warm, nourishing foods that pacify vata. Cooked grains like rice and quinoa, plenty of vegetables (cooked, not raw), and healthy fats like ghee. Combine with milk and its products, if they suit you, for ojas-building, which is the essence related to vitality and fertility. Avoid processed foods, caffeine, and too many spicy foods that can aggravate pitta.

Next, herbs can also help. Ashwagandha is wonderful for balancing your endocrine system and bringing down stress levels, which play a huge role. Shatavari is another herb, often referred to as a friend for women, enhancing fertility and balancing hormones. You can take these as powders or tablets, usually after meals, but make sure to consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized dosage.

Routine-wise, a regular lifestyle with proper sleep is important. Aim for bed by 10pm and wake by 6am, providing your body a natural rhythm. Gentle yoga and meditation will keep your stress levels in check and calm any aggravations in the body.

Consider treatments like Abhyanga - the warm oil massage, which can be done at home with sesame oil. This nourishes the body and supports the endocrine systems. Similarly, Panchakarma therapies might be beneficial if accessible, with an emphasis on those that pacify vata.

Throughout, stay in touch with healthcare professionals and monitor any important changes. Balance is key, and while Ayurveda offers profound help, integrating it with medical care ensures safety and efficacy.
