Low AMH (Anti-Müllerian Hormone) can indicate a reduced ovarian reserve, making conception more challenging, but Ayurveda can offer supportive remedies to help balance hormones and improve fertility. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are two powerful herbs that can help nourish the reproductive system, balance hormones, and reduce stress, which can positively impact fertility. Shatavari is particularly known for its ability to enhance female reproductive health, regulate menstrual cycles, and improve the quality of eggs. Additionally, Maca root and Gokshura are beneficial for boosting energy and vitality, which may also support fertility.
For heat in the body, which could indicate an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, Ayurveda recommends cooling herbs like Amla, Coriander, and Mint. Coconut water and cucumber are also cooling foods that can help reduce internal heat. Since you travel daily by bus, exposure to environmental stressors and heat could further aggravate your Pitta, so try to stay hydrated and eat cooling foods.
In addition to herbs, managing stress through meditation, yoga, and a balanced diet can support overall fertility. A diet rich in whole foods, including fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats, can also improve overall health and reproductive function. Avoid excessive caffeine and alcohol, which can further deplete the body’s energy and affect hormonal balance.
It would be beneficial to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner for a personalized treatment plan, as fertility can be influenced by multiple factors. Regular check-ins with a healthcare provider and fertility expert are also recommended to monitor your progress.

Alright, dealing with low AMH levels while also managing daily commute stress sounds tough. Low AMH indicates diminished ovarian reserve and is a common concern nowadays. In Ayurveda, we look at balancing doshas, especially Vata and Pitta in your case, since you mentioned having a "heat body" (= Pitta imbalance). Commuting by bus could aggravate Vata due to irregular schedules and stress.
First step, let’s cool you down a bit. Start incorporating foods that have a cooling effect—think cucumbers, watermelons, and leafy greens. Avoid overly spicy, fried, and fermented foods as they increase Pitta dosha. Ghee is your friend, it has a soothing, nourishing effect and helps balance both your doshas. Add a teaspoon to your meals or cook with it. It’s great for improving general health and fertility.
Now about your routine. Traveling is an unavoidable part of life, but try to keep some consistency in your timings. Regularity helps prevent Vata aggravation. Before bed, a warm glass of milk with a pinch of nutmeg can help calm both your mind and body—a win-win. Sleep well.It is key! Getting at least 7-8 hours is a real game-changer for reproductive health.
Exercise is necessary but don't overdo it. Moderate activities like walking or gentle yoga are more beneficial than intense workouts and they keep Vata and Pitta in check. Breathing exercises like Nadi Shodhana (Alternate nostril breathing) or Anulom Vilom can help reduce stress from travel.
Herbs could be beneficial too. Ashwagandha root, it’s well known for hormonal balance; Shatavari can be good for female health. However, consult an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any herbal supplements cuz they can help find the right dose.
Lastly, engage in something that makes you happy or laugh every day. Emotional balance is crucial, remember it. Ayurveda treats both body and mind. So, keep stress as low as possible and you’re giving yourself the best shot at enhancing fertility.
Consult with your healthcare provider as well to get a personalized plan. Get checks regularly and align both modern and traditional Ayurveda solutions.
