In addressing low AMH and mild adenomyosis with the goal of conception, Ayurveda can offer complementary support to enhance your reproductive health. First, understanding your dosha balance is crucial. If Vata is elevated, which often influences reproductive disorders, calming Vata should be a priority.
Begin by incorporating a warm, nourishing diet that emphasizes foods like whole grains, cooked vegetables, and healthy fats such as ghee and sesame oil. Avoid raw and cold foods, as well as excessive stimulants like caffeine. Consider adding spices like ginger and fennel to your meals to stoke the digestive fire, agni, which is fundamental to overall vitality and hormone balance.
Herbal formulations can also play a significant role. Ashwagandha and Shatavari are two ayurvedic herbs traditionally used to support women’s reproductive health. Ashwagandha can help manage stress and improve vitality, while Shatavari is known to balance hormones and enhance fertility. A recommended dosage under the advice of an Ayurvedic practitioner typically includes 1-2 teaspoons of powdered herb or its equivalent in capsules, twice daily with warm milk or water.
Performing a self-abhyanga — a daily oil massage with warm sesame oil, can pacify Vata and promote tranquility, aiding in hormonal equilibrium. Alongside these, gentle yoga practices focusing on hip-openers and pelvic strengthening can support a healthy reproductive system. Poses like Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose) and Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclining Bound Angle Pose) are beneficial.
Additionally, managing stress through practices like meditation or Pranayama breathing exercises such as Anulom Vilom can enhance overall well-being. It’s important to regularly consult a healthcare provider to monitor your condition and align your Ayurvedic practices with any allopathic treatments necessary.
Remember, natural approaches take time and consistency, so patience and regularity in these practices can gradually restore balance and improve your fertility prospects.
