Doctors' responses

Why Kanchanar Guggulu Is NOT Safe During TTC Kanchanar Guggulu: Has Lekhana (scraping / reducing) action Reduces cysts (good for PCOD) But thins the endometrium in some women Can reduce implantation chances Has uterine-stimulating herbs that are NOT advised after ovulation Is NOT recommended with Letrozole cycles ➡️ Since you are already ovulating normally, Kanchanar Guggulu is no longer needed and can harm implantation. ⭐ Your TSH = 2.4 is PERFECT for conception. Ideal TTC range is 1.5 – 2.5. So your thyroid is completely stable — good job. ⭐ About Ashwagandha & Shatavari at Night ✔ Shatavari — Excellent for TTC Improves egg quality Improves cervical mucus Supports implantation ✔ Ashwagandha — Okay ONLY until you conceive Reduces stress Supports hormonal balance STOP after pregnancy is confirmed ⭐ What You CAN Take Instead (Safe + Fertility-Supportive) ✔ 1. Shatavari Ghrita or Phala Ghrita 1 tsp empty stomach Supports implantation Strengthens uterine lining 100% safe with Letrozole + progesterone ✔ 2. Aloe Vera juice (10–15 ml morning) Balances PCOD Very safe in TTC phase ✔ 3. Manjistha (if acne or PCOD inflammation) Helps hormones Safe in follicular & ovulation phase (No guggulu-based formulations during conception attempts.) ⭐ When Kanchanar Guggulu Can Be Used Only when: You stop trying to conceive temporarily, AND You need to shrink PCOD cysts again Then take 8–12 weeks. But not during active TTC cycles. ⭐ Your Current Medicine Combination Is Good You are already doing the best medical protocol: Letrozole → induces ovulation Fertigood-F → improves egg quality Progesterone → supports implantation Thyroid 75 mcg → stable Shatavari → supports fertility Ashwagandha → reduces stress Do NOT add Kanchanar Guggulu.

Thank you for your reply

When considering Kanchanar Guggulu within the context of trying to conceive, it’s essential to keep in mind its primary purpose—primarily balancing hormones and addressing glandular disorders such as thyroid imbalance. Given your background of PCOD and thyroid medication, Kanchanar Guggulu might potentially support your reproductive health. However, this decision shouldn’t be made lightly, especially alongside other Ayurvedic supplements like Ashwagandha and Shatavari that you’re already taking.

Due to the delicate nature of trying to conceive while managing multiple conditions, it’s crucial to be cautious about combining herbs. Kanchanar Guggulu can be helpful in maintaining hormonal balance and supporting the breakdown of Kapha dosha, which is often involved in PCOD, but its combination with other supplements could be more complex.

You have mentioned you’re under thyroid treatment and have stable levels, with a reading of 2.4, which typically falls within a normal range. While Kanchanar Guggulu can support thyroid health by balancing metabolism and glandular functions, its interaction with your existing thyroid medication should be carefully considered.

Discussing this with your healthcare provider or a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner is imperative. They can evaluate your overall condition individually. It would also be wise to monitor your cycle and hormonal levels as you introduce or adjust supplements like Kanchanar Guggulu.

Additionally, maintain a balance in your lifestyle and diet, supporting Agni (digestive fire) with warming and nourishing foods suitable to your constitution. Avoid extreme cold or overly dry foods, and include moderate exercise like yoga or walking to support metabolic functions. Since you’re aiming to conceive, ensuring your body is well-nourished and balanced holistically can be very beneficial.

Prioritize safety and personalized guidance to create an optimal path toward conception and overall well-being.
