You should avoid coffee. Sukumara Ghrita works by lubricating the dry intestines to cure constipation. Coffee is highly drying and dehydrating. Drinking coffee cancels out the lubricating effect of the ghee, rendering the medicine ineffective for chronic constipation.
Stop coffee completely during the treatment. If unavoidable: Keep a gap of at least 2 hours between the Ghee and coffee and drink 2 extra glasses of warm water to compensate for the dryness.

- Avoid coffee if possible, especially on an empty stomach. - If you cannot stop completely, limit to small amounts, with milk, and avoid taking it close to your Sukumara Ghrita dose. - Prefer herbal teas (saunf, coriander, licorice, mint) or warm water for digestion support. - Combine Sukumara Ghrita with a Pitta-Vata pacifying diet: soft cooked vegetables, rice, ghee, and avoid excess spice/oil.
⚠️ Risks of Coffee with Chronic Constipation - May worsen acidity, bloating, and dryness. - Can reduce the soothing effect of ghrita on intestinal lining. - Long-term reliance on coffee for bowel movement can mask underlying imbalance.

Yes you can have No pob But take Sukumaram gritha on empty stomach n hav coffee after breakfast
Hi Well I don’t think taking coffee on regular basis is a good option because coffee leads to dehydration…and dehydration ultimately worsen the constipation and as you said you have chronic constipation I will not recommend to continue coffee… Instead of this you can take healthy drinks like triphala kwath which is good for gut and add 1 tsp of ghee in hot milk at night to lubricate your gut
Hlo,
Yes, you can have coffee while taking Sukumara Ghrita, but it’s better to limit it and manage the timing, especially in chronic constipation.
Why caution is needed Sukumara Ghrita works by lubricating, nourishing, and pacifying Vata (the main cause of chronic constipation in Ayurveda). Coffee is: Drying (Rūkṣa) Stimulating and can aggravate Vata Can cause dependency of the bowels over time So regular or excess coffee may reduce the effectiveness of Sukumara Ghrita.
How to take both safely If you don’t want to stop coffee completely: ✔ Keep a gap of at least 1–2 hours between Sukumara Ghrita and coffee ✔ Limit coffee to 1 small cup per day ✔ Avoid coffee on an empty stomach ✔ Prefer milk coffee over black coffee (milk reduces Vata dryness)
Best way to take Sukumara Ghrita (for chronic constipation) - Dose: 1–2 teaspoons Time: Morning empty stomach OR At bedtime with warm milk (best for chronic cases) Follow with warm water or milk
Better alternatives to coffee (Ayurveda-friendly) If possible, reduce coffee and try: - Warm water with a few drops of lemon - Cumin–fennel tea - Mild ginger tea
Important note If constipation is long-standing, with bloating, gas, or dryness, coffee daily can delay healing, even if stools pass temporarily.

Hello Great question. You’re taking Sukumara Ghrita for chronic constipation and want to know if you can still have coffee.
Here’s the short version: yes, you can have coffee once in a while, but if you want the Ghrita to really do its job, regular coffee isn’t a good idea.
Here’s why.
–Sukumara Ghrita calms Vata, lubricates your gut, softens stools, and helps things move as they should. –Coffee, on the other hand, dries you out and can irritate your system. – It actually makes Vata and Pitta worse—so while it might give you a quick urge to go, it leaves your intestines even drier afterward. – Over time, this just makes constipation harder to manage and fights against what Sukumara Ghrita is trying to fix.
If you can’t give up coffee, no worries —just keep it to one small cup a day.
Wait at least 2-3 hours after taking your Ghrita. Don’t drink it on an empty stomach, and add milk instead of drinking it black. Sip extra warm water through the day to help balance things out.
–Honestly, you’re better off switching to herbal teas like fennel, coriander, or cumin. –Warm water in the morning is simple but works well. If your digestion handles it, try milk with a bit of ghee. –Coconut water during the day is great too.
A few extra tips:
–stick to your Sukumara Ghrita schedule, eat regular meals, and go for cooked veggies, soups, and stews. –Stay away from dry, cold, or packaged stuff. –Try to walk for 20-30 minutes every day, and don’t hold back when you feel the urge to go.
Coffee isn’t totally off-limits, but the less you drink, the better your results. The fewer stimulants in your routine, the faster you’ll heal.

Cofee can still lead to vata imbalance if consumed daily. I suggest to limit the amount of cofee powder. Sukumar ghrita only in empty stomach with warm water. And at night add Tab vasulax 1HS at bedtime with luke warm water. Dr Akshay negi MD PANCHAKARMA
You can take coffee once a day but better to avoid after food, late-night, try to make it without milk and use hot water only.
If you have cronic constipation and you are taking only sukumar ghrit for the condition then it’s not going to solve the problem of constipation.
You should take
1) Gandharvaharitaki churna 1/2 Spoon at night before bed with water.
Correct your diet and lifestyle to improve digestion and slowly get relief with constipation.
