Yes, pain and occasional bleeding + burning sensation (even mild) = Pitta dominant Arsh (Pittaj type). Alternating bowels show Vata involvement too.

do NOT use Bhallatak Modak in your case. Bhallatak is extremely heating (very high Pitta) and can seriously worsen pain, burning, bleeding & inflammation in Pittaj Arsh. It is only for Kapha dominant, painless, non-bleeding piles.

Correct Medicines 1 Arshoghni Vati – 2 tablets twice daily after food 2 Abhayarishta – 15–20 ml + 30 ml warm water after lunch & dinner 3 Kaishore Guggulu – 2 tablets twice daily after food 4 Triphala Churna – 3 gm night with warm water

Local Care (daily) 1 Warm Sitz Bath – hot water + pinch rock salt + 1 tsp Triphala powder for 15 min, 2–3 times daily

2 After bath , apply Jatyadi Ghrita or Kasisadi Taila externally

Diet Eat: moong khichdi + ghee, papaya, pomegranate, cooked lauki, thin buttermilk + roasted jeera Avoid: spicy/sour, fried, maida, late dinner, cold drinks

Daily Routine Vajrasana 10 min after meals No long sitting – stand/walk every 45–60 min Legs elevated 20 min twice daily

Avoid Bhallatak completely – it will increase your problem.

How to know if Arsha is Pittaj

Pittaj Arsha (Pitta-dominant hemorrhoids): - Burning pain, redness, inflammation - Occasional bleeding (bright red) - Aggravated by spicy, sour, hot foods

Vataj Arsha (Vata-dominant): - Severe cutting pain, dryness, constipation

Kaphaj Arsha (Kapha-dominant): - Swelling, heaviness, mucus discharge

🌿 About Bhallatak Modak - Bhallatak (Marking nut) is a very potent drug in Ayurveda, used in Arsha and digestive disorders. - It is ushna (hot) and can aggravate Pitta if not balanced properly. - Traditionally, it is given in small doses under supervision, because it can cause burning or blisters if misused.

Typical guidance (classical use): - 1 Modak (tablet) once daily after meals, with milk or ghee as anupana (vehicle). - Duration: 7–14 days initially, then reassess. - Must be stopped if burning, rashes, or excess bleeding occurs.

🧴 Local Care - Sitz bath with Triphala decoction or neem leaves daily. - Jatyadi Taila application externally for soothing fissure-like pain. - Avoid sitting long; use cushions.

⚠️ Precautions - Bhallatak Modak should not be used for long periods unsupervised. It is best for short courses (7–14 days) with milk/ghee. - If bleeding increases or burning worsens, stop immediately. - Chronic hemorrhoids often need combined internal + external therapy, and sometimes Panchakarma (like Ksharasutra).

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

Hlo,

Based on your symptoms (pain, bleeding, burning sensation, worse with sitting, and bowel irregularity), the hemorrhoids show Pitta predominance.

Bhallatak Modak is very hot (Ushna) and Tikshna in nature. It is generally NOT recommended in painful, bleeding (Pitta-type) external hemorrhoids, as it can increase burning and bleeding . 👉 Do not use Bhallatak Modak on your own.

For Pitta-type hemorrhoids, treatment usually focuses on: Reducing Pitta and inflammation Softening stools Stopping bleeding and pain

Since your problem is chronic (more than 6 months) with bleeding, please consult offline in clinic with procologist.

Hello I get that you’re worried about those painful, maybe bleeding, little hemorrhoids (Arsha) you’ve got. You’re wondering if they’re the Pitta type and if Bhallatak Modak is okay to use.

How to Tell if They’re Pitta Type

In Ayurveda, they sort Arsha (hemorrhoids) by dosha It sounds like you might have Pitta Arsha if you’ve got:

* Burning when you go * Red and puffy swelling * Bleeding (bright red) * Feeling hot down there * It gets worse with spicy foods, booze, tea, or coffee * Cooling stuff helps

Basically, if it’s painful, burning, sometimes bleeding, and irritated, it could be Pitta or Pitta-Vata Arsha

So, Is Bhallatak Modak Good for You?

Careful * Bhallatak (Semecarpus anacardium) is super hot. * It’s strong medicine. * It’s best for Kapha or hard piles that don’t bleed.

If you’ve got Pitta or bleeding piles, Bhallatak isn’t great for long-term because: * It heats things up * It can make the burning and bleeding worse

So, if you’re already dealing with: * Burning * Redness * Bleeding

👉 Use Bhallatak Modak for a short time only, carefully, or just skip it.

If You’re Already Taking Bhallatak Modak

* Don’t use it for more than 7 to 14 days. * Do it with a doctor watching you. * Stop ASAP if: * The burning gets worse * You bleed more * You feel hotter down there

It’s not a long-term fix for your kind of issue.

AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

INTERNAL MEDICATION

* Abhayarishta – 15 ml with warm water before sleeping * Triphala Churna – ½ tsp before sleeping * Kankayan Vati (Pittashamak type) – 2 tabs twice a day

These things: * Make it easier to go * Help with the bleeding * Heal things up naturally

EXTERNAL

Put this on Jatyadi Ghrita Inside and outside before sleeping.

This will: * Help heal the wound * Ease the burning feeling * Stops fissures

DIET PLAN

* Don’t eat spicy or fried foods, tea, coffee, or alcohol. Don’t sit for too long. * Eat papaya, buttermilk (only during the day), ghee, oats, and green veggies. Drink lots of warm water.

Important Point

You can fix this without surgery! But Bhallatak isn’t the right thing for bleeding piles long-term.

Pitta Arsha needs: * Cooling * Healing * Easier bowel movement

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

THANK YOU FOR REACHING OUT AND SHARING YOUR CONCERN BASED ON YOUR SYMPTOMS SMALL EXTERNAL HEMORRHOID PAIN OCCASIONAL BLEEDING LONG STANDING MORE THAN SIX MONTHS AND ALTERNATING CONSTIPATION AND LOOSE STOOLS YOUR CONDITION INDICATES PITTA WITH VATA INVOLVEMENT RATHER THAN PURE PITTAJA ARSHA BHALLATAK MODAK IS STRONG MEDICINE MAINLY USED IN KAPHA OR VATAJA ARSHA CHRONIC NON BLEEDING HEMORRHOIDS IF USED IN PITTAJA OR BLEEDING CASE IT CAN INCREASE BURNING AND BLEEDING IF NOT TAKEN PROPERLY

IF YOU DECIDE TO USE BHALLATAK MODAK TAKE ONE MODAK ONCE DAILY AFTER LUNCH WITH WARM OR COLD MILK OR GHEE DO NOT TAKE ON EMPTY STOMACH DO NOT TAKE AT NIGHT DURATION SHOULD BE MAXIMUM SEVEN TO TEN DAYS ONLY STOP IMMEDIATELY IF BLEEDING INCREASES OR BURNING STARTS

MORE IMPORTANTLY TO CONTROL PITTA AND HEAL YOUR ARSHA USE KAMDUDHA RAS ONE TABLET TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD AVIPATTIKAR CHURNA HALF TEASPOON AT NIGHT WITH WARM WATER AND LOCAL APPLICATION OF JATYADI TAILA OR YASHTIMADHU GHRITA DAILY SITZ BATH WITH LUKEWARM WATER REGULARITY IN BOWEL MOVEMENT SOFT AND LIGHT DIET AVOID SPICY HOT AND FRIED FOOD LONG SITTING AND STRESS WILL SUPPORT HEALING

CONSISTENCY WITH DIET LIFESTYLE LOCAL CARE AND PITTA BALANCING MEDICINES WILL GIVE BETTER AND LONG LASTING RELIEF THAN RELYING ONLY ON BHALLATAK MODAK

Pittaj arsh can be identified when there is burning pain heat sensation redness swelling and bleeding that is bright red in color and increases after spicy food heat exposure long sitting or straining If the bleeding is associated with burning and irritation it indicates pitta involvement while pain dryness and difficulty in passing stool point towards vata In your case small external hemorrhoids with pain occasional bleeding and alternating constipation and loose stools suggest a vata pitta predominant arsh rather than pure pittaj arsh Agni disturbance and apana vata imbalance are clearly present so treatment must be very cautious

Bhallatak modak is a strong ushna and tikshna medicine and it is mainly useful in kapha dominant or chronic non bleeding piles It is generally not advised in active pittaj arsh or when there is burning pain and bleeding because it can aggravate pitta and worsen symptoms If already started it should not be used for more than seven to ten days and only under supervision For relief focus on softening stools cooling pitta and regulating bowels use ghee with warm milk at night drink adequate water avoid spicy oily food long sitting and straining Sitz bath with lukewarm water daily will help If pain and bleeding persist bhallatak modak should be stopped and safer pitta pacifying medicines should be preferred
