Seeking Guidance on IBS D Management and Medication Adjustments - #50415

Client_04b8cd

I have IBS D, earlier I was taking prawal panch amrit ras moti yukt 1 morning and kamdudha ras moti yukt 1 evening and bilagyl but because of winter stopped these medicine. Now only taking pantoprazole 40 mg morning and kutaj parpati vati 1 evening. Because I tried kutjarisht for few days and it trigger acid production and acid reflux, vomit kind sensation. Now season is going to change and want to continue kamdudha ras moti yukt again because it suits me as per my symptoms. Please suggest me that I can take kamdudharas along with kutaj parpati vati or should i take kutaj ghan vati. Can i start taking bilagyl again during march month or in april in acid relux and vomit kind sensation because in winters it created problem of indigestion after taking it. Please reply Regards

Doctors' responses

–You can restart Kamdudha Ras Moti Yukt. It is safe to take along with Kutaj Parpati Vati. Take Kamdudha after breakfast and Kutaj Parpati after evening meals. If diarrhea is mild, you may use Kutaj Ghan Vati instead, but Kutaj Parpati is stronger and better for frequent loose motions. Avoid Kutjarishta since it increases acidity. You may restart Bilagyl in March or April, but only after acidity and reflux are controlled. Start with a low dose. Continue Pantoprazole as advised, but do not use long term , if use it longer consult Once.

Adressing your questions 1 ) combining kamdudha and kutaj parpati- They are used together to manage IBS -D and pitta symptoms 2) kutanarishta- it contain self generated alcohol For you having high pitta or sensitive stomach this can trigger acid and produce burning sensation 3) Restarting Bilagyl - March April is better time to restart if it previously helped your bowel Routine For vomit- take butter milk with pinch of roasted cumin and ginger powder Small frequent meal Avoil large gaps in means it triggers acid
