Melasma coming back after stopping creams means the root cause is still active. This is not just a surface skin issue, it is a Pitta and hormonal imbalance affecting deeper skin layers, which is why creams give only temporary results. Kumkumadi oil alone will not completely cure melasma, but it can help in improving skin texture and mild pigmentation when used regularly. The treatment has to work from inside as well as outside. Start with Khadirarishta 15 ml with equal water twice daily after meals to purify blood and reduce pigmentation from within. Take Manjistha churna ½ tsp twice daily with warm water to support skin detox and reduce recurrence. For external application, use Kumkumadi oil at night, applying a few drops with gentle massage. During the day, strict sun protection is mandatory, otherwise pigmentation will keep returning. Avoid triggers like excess sun exposure, heat, spicy food, and irregular meals, as these aggravate Pitta and worsen melasma. Include cooling foods like cucumber, coconut, and plenty of water. With this combined approach, pigmentation gradually lightens over 6–8 weeks and recurrence reduces significantly.
