I’m 48 and have been dealing with severe knee joint pain for over a year now. It started with occasional discomfort, but now the pain has become almost constant, especially when climbing stairs or even just sitting for a long time. The x-rays show mild osteoarthritis, and my doctor suggested painkillers, but I really want to avoid relying on them long-term. I’ve been researching Ayurvedic treatments and found mentions of therapies like Janu Basti, Abhyanga, and herbal oils like Mahanarayan oil for joint pain relief. Has anyone tried these Ayurvedic remedies specifically for knee joint pain? How effective were they, and did you see any lasting results? Also, are there certain dietary changes or herbs that might help with joint inflammation and pain reduction? Abhyanga, or ayurvedic oil massage, done with something like Mahanarayan oil, isn’t just soothing, it literally nourishes tissues too. You could do self-massage at home.
