Over the last few months, I have been experiencing stiffness, pain, and discomfort in my neck, especially after working on my computer for long hours. Sometimes, I also feel mild dizziness and headaches. My doctor diagnosed me with cervical spondylosis and suggested painkillers and physiotherapy, but I don’t want to rely on medications for the rest of my life. I’ve been researching cervical spondylosis Ayurvedic treatment to see if there is a long-term, natural way to manage this condition. I came across various Ayurvedic treatments like Greeva Basti (a medicated oil therapy for the neck), herbal medicines like Shallaki and Ashwagandha, and Panchakarma therapies for detoxification. How effective are these treatments for pain relief and long-term spinal health? Also, does cervical spondylosis Ayurvedic treatment focus only on pain relief, or does it actually help regenerate cartilage and improve spinal flexibility? If anyone has undergone Ayurvedic treatment for cervical spondylosis, what worked best for you, and how long did it take to see real improvement?

Oh, cervical spondylosis can really be a pain in the neck, literally. Dealing with that all day discomfort, urgh. Quite understandable wanting to move away from constant medication. So, diving into an ayurvedic approach is a solid choice.

Greeva Basti you’ve mentioned, it’s like a warm hug for your neck! It’s basically pooling warm medicated oil around your neck, thought to ease pain and stiffness. Though it doesn’t magically rebuild cartilage overnight, it can improve circulation and provide substantial relief, especially if done consistently. But you might need to do it like, several sessions to see continuous benefits.

And about those herbs, Shallaki and Ashwagandha. Yep, they got their rep for good reasons. Shallaki, also called Boswellia, is known to help reduce inflammation, while Ashwagandha strengthens muscles and supports nervous system. Kind of like a power duo. Taking them as per a Vaidya’s (Ayurvedic practitioner’s) suggestion is usually how it rolls.

Panchakarma? Now this is a bit more intensive but can be a game-changer. It’s like a deep cleanse for your body, can help balance doshas. Might make you feel reborn over a period of 5 to 21 days. But it’s also something you want to do under experienced supervision, and it takes commitment.
