About six months ago, I suffered a severe ankle sprain that left me unable to move much. At first, I thought it was just a minor injury, but because of the pain, I avoided putting weight on my leg for weeks. I didn’t notice it at first, but slowly, my calf muscle on that leg started shrinking. When I finally started walking again, my leg felt noticeably weaker, and the difference in muscle size between my two legs became obvious.
