I’ve had chronic knee pain for years, likely from old sports injuries combined with early signs of osteoarthritis. The pain is worse in the mornings and after walking or standing for long periods. I’ve tried physical therapy and various painkillers, but they only offer short-term relief. My doctor suggested possible surgery, but I want to avoid that route if possible. I’ve heard that Kerala offers specialized Ayurvedic treatments for knee pain, like Kizhi (herbal poultice) and Janu Basti (oil therapy). Does anyone have experience with these therapies? Did it actually help reduce the pain, and how long did it take to see improvement? I’m thinking of traveling to Kerala just for this, so any advice on the best places for authentic treatment would be helpful.
