Divya Sarvakalpa Kwath - 100 grams Divya Peedantaka Kwath - 200 grams Mix both the medicines. Take one teaspoon of the mixture and boil in 400 ml of water till the residue remains 100 ml. Filter and drink in the morning and evening on an empty stomach. Diya Singhnada Guggulu - Divya Tryodashang Guggulu - Divya Peedantaka Vati - Take 1 tablet from each, half-an-hour after breakfast,and dinner with lukewarm water.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA), known in Ayurveda as Amavata, is characterized by joint inflammation, swelling, and pain due to the accumulation of Ama (toxins) and an imbalance of the Vata dosha. To manage and reduce its symptoms, it is essential to focus on two key areas:

medication and thrapy

Recommended Ayurvedic Prescription (Rx) for 15 Days: Mahayograj Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily

Trayodashang Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily

Trikatu tablet – 1 tablet twice daily

Dashmool Kwath – 25 ml on an empty stomach

Castor oil – 1 teaspoon with warm water at bedtime

Home Swedan Therapy to Reduce Swelling and Pain Ingredients:

Saindhava Lavana (rock salt) – 250–500 g

(Optional) Ajwain and Nirgundi leaves/powder

A clean cotton cloth to make a bolus (pottali)

Method:

Dry roast the rock salt in a thick pan until it becomes hot.

(Optional) Add Ajwain or Nirgundi for enhanced effect.

Transfer the mixture into a cotton cloth and tie it tightly to form a pottali.

Test the heat on the back of your hand to ensure it is comfortably hot.

Gently press or rub the pottali over the affected joints for 15–20 minutes.

Avoid exposure to cold air or water immediately after the therapy.

For a permanent cure, it is recommended to visit a nearby Ayurveda center and undergo Vaitarna Basti (medicated enema therapy), which is highly effective in managing at root level

For rheumatoid arthritis, Ayurveda offers several ways to help manage pain and reduce inflammation. Giloy, or Guduchi, is excellent for its anti-inflammatory properties and it seems like you’re already on the right path with it. However, let’s explore a few more options you could consider.

You might want to start incorporating Ashwagandha into your routine, which is known for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. You can take Ashwagandha in powder form, mix about 1 teaspoon in a glass of warm milk and drink it before going to bed. It can help to calm Vata dosha, which is usually responsible for pain and stiffness in joints.

Diet is crucial in managing arthritis. Focus on a diet that is rich in vegetables and whole grains, but particularly include foods that are known to pacify Vata and Kapha doshas, like warm, cooked meals with oily, sour, and salty tastes. Avoid cold, raw, and dry foods. Also, drink plenty of warm water throughout the day to help your system.

Turmeric is another potent anti-inflammatory that can be quite helpful—mix ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder in warm milk or water. This should be taken once a day, preferably in the morning.

Regular moderate exercise like walking or yoga can also be beneficial. Yoga, specifically, can help expand and flex joints gently. Focus on strengthening your muscles around the knee to help with joint support. Keep movements gentle to avoid provoking the inflammation.

Lastly, consider having Abhyanga (oil massage) with warm sesame oil or Mahanarayan oil. This can improve circulation and joint flexibility. Do this before a warm shower; it helps the oil to penetrate deeper into tissues.

But do keep in mind, consult a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner before beginning any new treatment or regimen, particularly since you’ve mentioned significant pain and swelling. They can provide a tailored plan suited to your Prakriti (constitution).

Lastly, regular check-ups with your doctor to monitor the condition remains indispensable. For cases with severe inflammation or sudden increases in pain, urgent medical intervention may be needed.
