My mother is having a severe kneejointpain she is under allopathymedication , x-ray shows thatmedialside of the hyaline cartilage is absent so that due to bone rubbing intensity ofpain was increased Stiffness and more pain during morning just after woke up Difficulty in walking ,slight swelling and positive creptations , observed temperature 🌡️ on knee

Hello, Please give the following: 1. Capsule zeotone plus 2----0----2 for 6 months 2. Rasnairandadi kashayam 10ml+sahacharadi kashayam 10ml by adding 80 ml of boiled cooled water at 0600AM and at 0600PM for 120 days. 3. Lakshadi guggulu 2—0—2 along with no.2 for 120 days.

Externally- Application of murivenna+sahacharadi thailam to the affected knees.

In Ayurveda, this condition can be correlated with Sandhivata, where the Vata dosha predominates within the joints. To address this, a combination of dietary, lifestyle, and therapeutic interventions can be recommended alongside conventional care.

She should start by focusing on her diet. Incorporate warm, cooked, and oily foods to pacify Vata dosha. Ginger and turmeric are beneficial due to their anti-inflammatory properties—make a habit of using them in daily cooking. Avoid cold, raw foods and processed items as they can aggravate Vata and increase joint pain.

Regular gentle exercises are crucial. Encourage her to start with Sukshma Vyayama, which are subtle joint exercises to improve flexibility without causing strain. Do these movements in the morning when stiffness is more prominent—like controlled bending and stretching. Yoga poses such as Tadasana (Mountain Pose) and Balasana (Child’s Pose) can also be included for gentle stretching.

Application of warm sesame oil or Mahanarayan oil on the affected knee can help enhance circulation and reduce stiffness—massage gently, followed by warm fomentation. Consider using a moist heat pack to soothe pain, especially in the morning.

An important internal medication for joint health is Guggulu preparations, like Yogaraj Guggulu. It’s wise to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to ensure it suits her constitution and won’t interfere with allopathic medications.

Keeping weight in check is key to reducing stress on her knees. Encourage regular walking as her tolerance allows.
