Left Knee Pain and Dandruff Concerns - #37048

1) Knee joint pain in only left knee after getting up from Indian toilet and pain lasts for 10-15 seconds since 4 months ,pain increases on walking long distance or for long time standing ,only in left kneejoint, no history of injury , no stiffness and swelling, hearing crepitus sounds from almost all joints especially left knee joint even while climbing stairs,CBC and serum calcium test was done after 1 month of symptoms it was normal and calcium was 8.8, took some pain killer not reduced, took yogaraj guggulu , amrutadi guggulu for 5 days not worked 2) dandruff since 5 years , itching , mild hair fall, dandruff increase during cold season, used ketoconazole, ketoconazole+zincpyrithone , ketoconazole+salicylic shampoo but not reduced, Visible big whitish or slightly yellowish flakes, also there is slight dandruff behind the ears , and moustache and on upper back 3) greying of hair over the time it is increasing , also brownish discoloration of some hair of moustache and beard

Avoid oily, spicy and processed foods. Regular exercise and meditation. Increase intake of raw vegetables and fruits. Tab. Bhringraj 2-0-2 Cap. Artilon 2-0-2 Amalaki rasayan 5gms twice Massage on scalp with Dhaturpatradi oil twice a week. Follow up after 4weeks

For your knee joint pain, it appears to be a case of Vata imbalance, potentially causing weakening of the local dhatus around the joint, which is why you hearing the crepitus sounds. Since the traditional guggulu formulations haven’t provided relief, consider alternatives like ashwagandha powder, which can help to strengthen the tissues. Take 1 teaspoon with warm milk daily, preferably in the evening. Additionally, applying Mahanarayan taila (oil) gently to the knee can be beneficial. Warm the oil slightly before massaging it into the knee in gentle, circular motions for about 10-15 minutes daily, particularly focusing on days when the pain is more pronounced. Make sure to keep your knee warm, avoiding exposure to cold, which can aggravate the Vata dosha further.

Regarding your dandruff issue, this is indicative of a Kapha and Pitta imbalance leading to excess oil and inflammation in the scalp. Instead of chemical shampoos, try making a home rinse with 1 part apple cider vinegar and 2 parts water. Apply this to your scalp, leave it for 5-10 minutes, and then rinse off. Repeat this process 2-3 times a week. Avoid excessive washing, which can strip the natural oils and exacerbate the problem. Also, including neem oil massages for your scalp once a week can help in reducing inflammation and flakes.

For greying of hair and hair discoloration, include Amla (Indian gooseberry) in your diet or as a supplement, known to rejuvenate hair color. Taking Amla juice in the morning or Amla powder (1 teaspoon) with warm water can help over time. Also consider applying bhringraj oil directly to your scalp as a natural remedy to help stimulate your hair follicles and possibly slow down greying.

Focusing on overall dietary improvements can significantly aid in balanced doshas — eat fresh, warm, and easily digestible foods, minimizing excessively spicy, oily, or heavy meals which can aggravate the imbalances. Reducing stress through practices like yoga and meditation can also be immensely beneficial.
