Morning Low Back Stiffness After Posting in Leh - #39678

I was posted in Leh (Ladakh) for almost 2 years.Now I have been posted out and presently posted at Shillong. In the early morning, when I wake up I feel my low back has become stiff & rigid. In the morning leaving the bed becomes very tough due to low flexibility and pain. I regularly do yoga and exercises to maintain flexibility. But despite everything, the stiffness of low back is creating health problems.

From what you have mentioned morning, stiffness ready pain in the lower back despite regular yoga and exercises points to a deeper imbalance caused by long exposure to cold, dry and high altitude conditions in Leh which tend to agreevate, Vata Dosha Even after moving to Shillong the residual dryness and vata dominance may continue to affective joints, muscles, and spinal tissues, leading to reduced lubrication, poor circulation and stiffness after rest

In simple terms, your back tissues are dehydrated and fatigued from prolonged exposure to cold altitude and reduced oxygenation Morning stiffness happens because overnight, the body cools down and circulation slows so the vata energy settles in the lower spine and pelvis, making moments painful until warm and circulation are restored To correct this, you can start on Trayodashanga guggulu Maharasnadi guggulu Take each 1 tablet twice daily after food Dashamoola aristha 2 teaspoon with equal quantity of water twice daily after meals Gandharvahastadi kashyam 10 ML with equal water twice daily after meals Mahanarayana taila -for local massage, warm the oil slightly and applied to the lower back every morning before bath, and then take a bath with warm water Avoid exposure to cold surfaces, keep your back warm, especially in the morning and evening Continue yoga, focus on Setu bandhasana bhujangasana pavanamuktasana Avoid skipping meals, dry food. Fold drinks instead include warm soups ghee sesame oil Before bed, drink a glass of warm milk with Ashwagandha churna half teaspoon to it If pain PERSISTS even after following the above, then once get MRI SPINE
