Severe Pain After Fall on Coccyx - #40039

I fell from 3ft ht directly on my coccyx bone, have severe low back pain spreading to both buttocks & down to feets, L5-S1 if pressed from up towards down it hurts like hell, it has made me almost disable

Hello I’m really sorry to hear about the intense pain you’re going through after the fall. From your symptoms, it seems there may be injury or inflammation around the coccyx (tailbone) and lumbosacral region (L5–S1) — possibly involving compression or nerve irritation (Sciatica-like pain).

👉My Advice- 1 MRI - lumbosacral spine with whole spine screening Is must to rule out any fracture, soft tissue damage or any internal injury

2 Consult nearby Ayurvedic physician for physical examination

✅ AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

✅ INTERNAL MEDICATION

1 Dashmoola Kashaya 20 ml twice daily with warm water (Anti-inflammatory, relieves Vata pain)

2 Yograj Guggulu. 1 tablet twice daily after food (Reduces stiffness and nerve pain)

3 Balarishta 20 ml twice daily with equal water after food (Strengthens nerves, reduces fatigue)

4 Rasnasaptaka Kashaya 15 ml twice daily (For backache and Vata disorders)

5 Lakshadi Guggulu (if fracture suspected) 1 tablet twice daily (Bone healing and pain relief)

✅ PANCHAKARMA

ADVISED ONLY AFTER MRI REPORT AND CONSULTING AYUVEDIC PHYSICIAN FOR PHYSICAL EXAMINATION

-Kati Basti with Mahanarayana Taila – warm oil retention over lumbosacral and coccyx area; reduces inflammation and nourishes nerves.

-Snehan (Oil massage) + Swedana (Steam therapy) – improves circulation and reduces stiffness.

-Matra Basti (medicated oil enema) – pacifies Vata at the root, strengthens the lower back and pelvic region.

✅ EXTERNAL CARE

👉Hot fomentation (Eranda Patra or Nirgundi leaves) Apply warm poultice to lower back twice daily Relieves deep-seated Vata and pain

👉Taila abhyanga (massage) Mahanarayana Taila warm oil massage daily before bath Improves mobility, reduces pain

✅ DIET MODIFICATION

Include: Warm, unctuous food with ghee, milk, moong dal, dates, sesame seeds, soups, and bone broth.

Avoid: Cold, dry, and spicy food, fasting, excessive sitting on hard surfaces, and late-night sleeping.

Lifestyle:

Use a donut-shaped cushion to reduce coccyx pressure. Avoid bending forward suddenly or lifting weights. Keep lower back warm and supported. Gentle oil massage (especially before bed) is highly beneficial.

✅ HOME REMEDIES

1. Castor oil massage – apply warm castor oil over tailbone before bedtime to relieve inflammation.

2. Turmeric milk (Haldi doodh) – ½ tsp turmeric in warm milk at night for pain and healing.

3. Fenugreek seed water – soak overnight, drink in the morning to strengthen bones and joints.
