To manage chronic calcific pancreatitis on a vegetarian diet, focus on anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric, ginger, and leafy greens, as well as easily digestible foods such as cooked vegetables, rice, and khichdi. Incorporate plant-based proteins like lentils, chickpeas, tofu, and tempeh for tissue repair. Omega-3 fatty acids from flaxseeds, chia seeds, and walnuts can reduce inflammation. Support digestion with herbs like amla, fennel, cumin, and probiotic-rich foods such as yogurt or fermented items. Avoid fried, spicy, or processed foods that stress the digestive system. Ayurveda may recommend herbs like Brahmi and Ashwagandha, along with Panchakarma therapies for detox. Always consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for tailored advice based on your condition.

Wow, it sounds like you’ve been through quite a lot with these pains, doesn’t it? Navigating chronic pain can be pretty exhausting! Since you’re already on some western supplements, let’s talk Ayurveda—a whole different ball game. Your symptoms hint at possible Vata aggravation, which can cause joint pain, headaches, and anxiety—pretty fun, right? So let’s focus on balancing that to find some relief.

Diet-wise, warm, nourishing foods are key. Since you’re vegetarian, think about incorporating plenty of cooked veggies, grains, and legumes, ya know, good stuff like mung beans and red lentils. Sweet, sour, salty tastes help balance Vata—sweet potatoes, bananas, and avocados are helpful here. There’s room for creativity, for sure.

Lightly spiced dishes can be magical for digestion. Add spices like cumin, coriander, fennel, and turmeric as they help enhance Agni (digestive fire). And seriously, keep things oil-rich—consider cooking with sesame oil or ghee which are excellent for Vata .

For drinks, stay warm; maybe start your day with a glass of warm water with a bit of lemon; it can do wonders. Herbal teas, like ginger or tulsi, are also fab for calming Vata.

Lifestyle-wise, staying warm (layer up if you have to) and creating a solid routine can really help. Plus, including gentle exercises, like restorative yoga or walking in nature, are beneficial. Headaches might lighten with a bit of Brahmi or Ashwagandha—really soothing.

To be extra safe since you have chronic pain, keep an open convo with your doc, especially about any changes. Ayurveda’s great, but you want to make sure it gels well with your current treatments. Hope this helps!
