Hi Mohamed, I understand how challenging dealing with H. pylori can be, especially with prolonged treatment. To better tailor advice, I’d like to ask: 1. Have you noticed any specific patterns in your symptoms, such as pain after eating or a particular time of day when they worsen? 2. Are you following any particular diet or lifestyle changes alongside the treatments you've tried? In Ayurveda, we focus on restoring balance to your digestive fire (Agni) while strengthening immunity and detoxifying the system. We might recommend herbal treatments like Guduchi, Licorice, and Turmeric to support gut healing and fight infection naturally. You should consult an Ayurvedic practitioner to personalize a treatment plan, especially after long-term antibiotic use.

H. pylori infections that persist despite multiple rounds of antibiotics are considered antibiotic-resistant cases. Since you’ve battled this for almost ten years, it’s crucial to approach treatment differently. Check for Antibiotic Resistance Culture and Sensitivity Test: This helps identify which antibiotics your strain of H. pylori is resistant. Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) – e.g., omeprazole or esomeprazole The following won’t replace antibiotics but may help: Licorice root (helps suppress H. pylori) Probiotics (Lactobacillus & Saccharomyces boulardii) (helps restore gut health) Garlic (have anti-H. pylori effects) Avoid spicy, acidic, and processed foods.Reduce sugar and dairy intake. Eat more fiber-rich foods (fruits, vegetables, whole grains). Drink green tea and cranberry juice (both can inhibit H. pylori growth). Further Medical Evaluation • Endoscopy & Biopsy: To check for ulcer damage. Urea Breath Test or Stool Antigen Test: To confirm the current infection status. I recommend consulting a gastroenterologist to discuss these advanced treatments and tests. Have you had any tests done recently to check for antibiotic resistance?

Hello Mohammad, what exactly are your symptoms? Managing H. pylori with Ayurveda involves a holistic approach that focuses on reducing inflammation, strengthening digestion, and eliminating toxins. According to Ayurveda, this condition is often linked to an imbalance in Pitta dosha, leading to excess heat in the stomach, weak digestion (Agni), and toxin accumulation (Ama). 1. Dietary Guidelines: Eat easily digestible, warm, and cooked foods like rice, moong dal, and steamed vegetables. Include cooling foods like cucumber, coconut water, and pomegranate juice. Avoid spicy, oily, and fermented foods, as well as processed sugar and caffeine. Drink buttermilk with a pinch of roasted cumin powder after meals to soothe digestion. Take lukewarm water with a teaspoon of honey in the morning for gentle cleansing. 2. Medicine support Shatavari + Yasthimadhu + Guduchi + Guduchi - take all in equal parts. Of this mixture, take 1 tsp before an hour of meals , twice daily. 2. Tab Sootshekhar 1-1-1 after meals. 3. Lifestyle Recommendations: Eat meals at regular times to balance digestion. Avoid late-night eating. Practice yoga postures like Vajrasana and Pawanmuktasana to aid digestion. Perform breathing exercises like Anulom Vilom to reduce stress and support gut health. Get 7-8 hours of restful sleep to promote healing. 4. Ayurvedic treatments : Virechana (Purgation Therapy): Under supervision, to remove excess Pitta and toxins. Takra Dhara: Pouring medicated buttermilk over the forehead to calm the nervous system. Basti (Enema Therapy): Herbal oil enemas to balance Vata and regulate digestion. Following this Ayurvedic protocol consistently for 3-6 months can support healing and prevent recurrence. Consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner for personalized treatment is advisable.
